(1933-2020)
Il 7 marzo 2020, verso le ore 08:30, si è spento nella Casa Madre di Parma P. Corrado Stradiotto. Il confratello aveva 86 anni, essendo nato a Martellago (provincia di Venezia, ma diocesi di Treviso – IT), il 09.06.1933.
Proveniente dal Seminario Diocesano di Treviso, nell’ottobre del 1951 il giovane Corrado entra tra i Missionari Saveriani nella loro casa di Zelarino, dove frequenta il secondo anno del ginnasio (1951-1952). Nel settembre del 1952 Corrado va a S. Pietro in Vincoli per l’anno di noviziato alla fine del quale fa la Prima Professione religiosa-missionaria (12.09.1953).
Dopo, il giovane Corrado continua con il consueto iter scolastico-formativo: studi liceali a Desio (1953-1956), prefettato in Casa Madre (1956-1957), studi di teologia a Parma (1957-1961).
Dopo l’ordinazione sacerdotale (avvenuta a Parma il 16.10.1960) p. Corrado rimane nello Studentato Teologico di Parma dapprima come aiuto Economo (1961-1964) e poi come Economo (1964-1967).
Nel 1966 p. Corrado riceve la bella notizia della destinazione all’Indonesia. Dopo un anno di studio della lingua nella Domus di Padang (1967-1968), gli viene chiesto di svolgere il servizio di Procuratore Diocesano a Padang (1968-1975).
Nel 1975 p. Corrado viene richiamato in Italia, dove svolge il suo servizio come Economo dello Studentato Teologico di Parma (1976-1984) e come Economo Regionale (1984-1996).
Nel settembre del 1996, p. Corrado viene destinato alla Casa generalizia di Roma dove svolge il servizio di Economo della Direzione Generale (1996-2015), di Economo della casa (1996-2015), di Rettore della casa (1996-2010), dell’accoglienza-portineria (2015-2020).
A causa della sua condizione di salute e dei problemi cardio-respiratori, il 22 febbraio 2020 p. Corrado lascia Roma per andare a Parma (sua nuova destinazione). Qui, il 7 marzo 2020 viene portato dagli Angeli al cospetto dell’Altissimo per ricevere la ricompensa del servitore buono e fedele.

Fr. Corrado Stradiotto, s.x. died in the Mother House of Parma on March 7th, 2020, at around 8:30 AM. Fr. Corrado Stradiotto was born on June 9th, 1933 in the town of Martellago (Province of Venice – IT), diocese of Treviso, and he was now 86 years old.
Corrado entered, first, in the Diocesan Seminary of Treviso. In October of 1951 he joined the Xaverian Missionary House of Zelarino where he continued with his High School Studies (1951 – 1952). In September 1952, Corrado went to the Novitiate House of St. Pietro in Vincoli (Ravenna – IT) for the Novitiate Year and, at its end, celebrated his First Religious Missionary Profession (September 12th, 1953).
Then Corrado continued with his College Studies in the House of Desio (1953 – 1956), prefect of students in the Mother House (1956 – 1957), Theology Studies in Parma (1957 – 1961).
Fr. Corrado Stradiotto was ordained Priest in the Mother House of Parma on October 16th, 1960. There he remained, first, as assistant Treasurer of the Students Community (1961 – 1964) and, after, as Treasurer (1964 – 1967).
In the year 1966, Fr. Stradiotto was assigned to work in the mission ministry of Indonesia. There, in his first year, Fr. Corrado studied Indonesian Language in the Domus of Padang (1967 – 1968), and was then asked to help as Diocesan Procurator for the Diocese of Padang (1968 – 1975).
In 1975, Fr. Corrado Stradiotto was recalled to Italy and appointed Treasurer of the Theology House of Parma (1976 – 1984). Subsequently, he was chosen as Regional Treasurer of the Italian Region (1984 – 1996).
In September 1996, Fr. Corrado Stradiotto was assigned to the House of the Generalate in Rome and appointed as Treasurer of the Direction General (1996 – 2015), and also Treasurer of the House (1996 – 2015), Rector of the House (1996 – 2010), House Receptionist (2015 – 2020).
Due to his health condition and cardio-respiratory problems, on February 22nd, 2020, Fr. Corrado Stradiotto left the House of Rome and went to Parma, his new assignment. Here, on March 7th, 2020, Fr. Corrado Stradiotto was brought by the Angels to the Most High, to receive the reward of the good and faithful servant.
