(1929 – 2020)
Il 15 marzo 2020, verso le ore 14:15, si è spento in Casa Madre il P. Piermario Tassi. Il confratello aveva 90 anni, essendo nato a Poggio S. Marcello (Ancona – IT) il 03.08.1929.
Nel 1940 il giovane Piermario entra nella casa saveriana di Poggio S. Marcello dove frequenta le scuole medie (1940-1943); passa poi a Grumone per il Ginnasio (1943-1945), e successivamente a S. Pietro in Vincoli per fare il Noviziato (1945-1946).
Dopo la Prima Professione religiosa-missionaria (fatta a Parma il 24.09.46), Piermario continua con il consueto iter scolastico-formativo: studi liceali a Parma (1946-1947) e a Desio (1947-1949), prefettato a Grumone (1949-1950), studi di teologia a Piacenza (1950-1954).
Dopo l’ordinazione sacerdotale (avvenuta il 03.04.1954 a Piacenza), p. Piermario viene destinato come insegnante alla Scuola Apostolica di Ancona (1954-1962) dove svolge anche altri ruoli comunitari.
Nel 1962 p. Piermario viene destinato al Congo. Qui, dopo qualche mese passato a Kalambo per lo studio della lingua, viene destinato al Seminario di Mungombe come insegnante ed economo (1963-1964). Dopo un anno di cura in Italia (1964-1965), p. Piermario va a Bruxelles per lo studio della lingua (1965-1966) per poi ritornare al Seminario di Mungombe sempre come insegnante ed economo (1966-1970).
Dopo una breve parentesi in Italia, a Desio, come incaricato delle Mostre (1970-1971), p. Piermario ritorna ad insegnare al Seminario di Mungombe (1971-1973). In seguito viene destinato a Bukavu come Rettore della Domus (1973-1981) ed Economo Regionale (1979-1980).
Dopo due anni passati nell’insegnamento a Mungombe (1980-1982) p. Piermario ritorna a Bukavu come Aiuto Economo Regionale (1982-1996).
A causa della guerra che era scoppiata nel Kivu, nell’ottobre del 1996 p. Piermario è costretto a rientrare in Italia. Qui viene destinato ad Ancona dove svolge il suo ministero (1996-2015), come animatore missionario e incaricato dei Benefattori (2009-2015).
A causa della sua condizione di salute, nell’agosto del 2015 p. Piermario lascia Ancona per andare a Parma. Qui, il 15 marzo 2020 viene portato dagli Angeli al cospetto dell’Altissimo per ricevere la ricompensa del servitore buono e fedele.

Fr. Piermario Tassi, s.x. died in the Mother House of Parma on May 15th, 2020, at about 2:15 pm. Born on August 3rd, 1929, in the town of Poggio San Marcello (Ancona – IT), Fr. Tassi was now 90 years old.
In the year 1940, young Piermario entered the Xaverian House of Poggio San Marcello where he continued with his studies (1940-1943); then, he transferred to the House of Grumone and there he finished his High School (1943-1945). At the end of it, Piermario Tassi transferred to San Pietro in Vincoli (Ravenna – IT) for the Novitiate Year. On September 24th, 1946, in the Mother House of Parma, Piermario Tassi celebrated his First religious Missionary Profession. During the years of his College Studies he resided in Parma (1946-1947) and in Desio (1947-1949). In 1949-1950, he was asked to be prefect of young Xaverian Students in the house of Grumone. Terminated with that service, Piermario Tassi transferred to Piacenza for the Study of Theology (1950-1954).
After the Ordination to the Priesthood on April 3rd, 1954, Fr. Piermario Tassi was assigned as teacher to the Xaverian House of Ancona (1954-1962). There he also served in various other ministries.
In the year 1962, Fr. Piermario was assigned to ministry in the Democratic Republic of Congo. After few months of language studies, Fr- Piermario Tassi was assigned as teacher and as Treasurer Procurator in the Seminary Mungombe (1963-1964). Due to health reasons, in 1964-1965, Fr. Tassi was in Italy. For the years 1965-1966, Fr. Tassi was in Bruxelles to study the French language. At the end of it, Fr. Piermario Tassi returned to the Seminary of Mungombe, both as teacher and local Treasurer (1966-1970).
After a brief parenthesis in Italy, in the Xaverian House of Desio, Fr. Mario Tassi assumed the ministry of mission education (1970-1971). Again, he returned to teach in the Seminary of Mungombe (1971-1973). Then Fr. Piermario Tassi was transferred to the city of Bukavu and was named Rector of the Domus (1973-1981) and also Regional Treasurer (1979-1980).
After having spent two years as teacher in Mungombe (1980-1982), Fr. Piermario Tassi returned to Bukavu as Assistant Regional Treasurer (1982-1996).
Due to the war, which was taking place in the area of Kivu, in October of 1996, Fr. Piermario Tassi was forced to returned to Italy. Assigned to the Xaverian House of Ancona, Fr. Piermario Tassi offered his services in the areas of pastoral ministry (1996-2015), mission education and responsible for benefactors (2009-2015).
Because of his poor health conditions, in August 2015, Fr. Piermario Tassi left the Xaverian House of Ancona and came to the Xaverian Mother House of Parma. From Parma, on March 15th, 2020, Fr. Piermario Tassi, s.x. was brought by the Angels to the presence of the Most High to received the reward of the good and faithful servant.
