E imparare a sentirmi a casa dappertutto” (p. Oliviero Ferro sx).
On October 2, in the Xaverian house on Via Sulcis, in Cagliari, Italy, Fr. Oliviero Ferro celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of his priestly ordination. Since 2020 he has been involved in missionary animation. From his missionary experience in Congo and Cameroon he says that Africa has reinforced his faith: “Africa taught me not to run. It taught me to realize that I lived with people and that together with them, I had to put my whole life on the line to try to build a better world. Faith had something special. I think of the preparation for baptism, which lasted four years, the joy of Masses, but also the struggle to fight against injustice. And then going everywhere to announce the Good News. But I also had to learn to accept their advice. Especially one: don't rush. Give time to time. And learn to feel at home everywhere” (Fr Oliviero Ferro, sx).
