La prossima settimana avrà luogo a Rabat presso l’Istituto Ecumenico di Teologia Al Mowafaqa, l’esame orale delle tesine dei nostri confratelli Rolando Ruíz Durán sx e François Saleh Moll sx, dopo aver frequentato il corso di formazione Certificat al Mowafaqa pour le Dialogue des Cultures et des Religions (“Certificato Al Mowafaqa per il Dialogo interculturale e interreligioso”). 

Il titolo del lavoro scritto di p. Rolando è "Marie, lieu de rencontre entre Muslims et Chrétiens" (“Maria, luogo di incontro tra mussulmani e cristiani”). Il titolo dell’elaborato di p. François è “L'Islam est-il une religion dialogale? Dogme, textes et interprétations. Une analyse du principe de l'allégeance et du désaveu”. (“L'Islam è una religione dialogica? Dogmi, testi e interpretazioni. Un'analisi del principio di lealtà e di rottura”.).

La durata di questo corso è stata di cinque mesi come introduzione alla realtà del Marocco, insieme ad altri compagni protestanti e cattolici di varie nazionalità. Di questo Istituto, Papa Francesco si è espresso così davanti al Re del Marocco - nella la sua visita apostolica del 30 marzo 2019: “Considero anche la creazione dell'Istituto Ecumenico Al Mowafaqa, a Rabat, nel 2012, un gesto profetico, grazie all’iniziativa dei fratelli cattolici e protestanti in Marocco; un Istituto che vuole contribuire alla promozione dell'ecumenismo, al dialogo con la cultura e l'Islam. Questa lodevole iniziativa esprime la preoccupazione e la volontà dei cristiani che vivono in questa nazione di costruire ponti che manifestino e siano al servizio della fratellanza umana."

The thesis defense of our Confreres Frs. Rolando Ruíz Durán, s.x and François Saleh Moll, s.x., will take place next week in Rabat, at the Al Mowafaqa Ecumenical Institute. They have been attending the Certificat al Mowafaqa pour le Dialogue des Cultures et des Religions (training course for a Certificate in Dialogue of Cultures and Religions). The title of Fr. Rolando’s paper is: "Marie, lieu de rencontre entre Muslims et Chrétiens" (“Mary, meeting place between Muslims and Christians”). The title of Fr. François’ paper is: “L'Islam est-il une religion dialogale? Dogme, textes et interprétations. Une analyse du principe de l'allégeance et du désaveu” (“Is Islam a Dialogical Religion? Dogmas, texts, and interpretations. An analysis of the principle of loyalty and rupture”). This five-month-long course has been an introduction to the reality of Morocco carried out together with other Protestant and Catholic companions of various nationalities. This is how pope Francis expressed his own appreciation for this Institute before the King of Morocco during his Apostolic Visit of March 30^th – 2019: “I also see as a prophetic sign the creation in 2012 of the Al Mowafaqa Ecumenical Institute in Rabat. The Institute, an initiative of Catholics and other Christian denominations in Morocco, seeks to help promote ecumenism, as well as dialogue with culture and with Islam. This praiseworthy undertaking manifests the concern and the desire of the Christians living in this country to build bridges as a means of expressing and serving human fraternity.”
