Dal 25 al 27 gennaio 2021, la Regione Saveriana del Burundi ha tenuto la sua Assemblea annuale sul tema “L’Autosostentamento” presso la Domus di Bujumbura. Erano presenti 12 confratelli su 14. L’Assemblea ha dato il benvenuto ai due confratelli appena arrivati: p. Abi Evansius (Indonesia) e p. Marcelo Alves de Àvila Ribeiro (Brasile). Non hanno potuto invece partecipare i padri Angelo Guttoriello e Luigi Vitella per ragioni di salute. A livello di Assemblea abbiamo preso in considerazione anche la questione del “Riposizionamento” e dell'Anno Giubilare delle Costituzioni e della Lettera Testamento di San Guido Maria Conforti oltre ad altri argomenti per sostenere lo spirito di famiglia e la vicinanza alla Chiesa locale. L'Assemblea si è conclusa con il Consiglio regionale.

From January 25^th to January 27^th  - 2021, the Xaverian Region of Burundi held its Annual Assembly on the theme: “Self-Support” at the Bujumbura Domus.  There were about 12 out of 14 confreres present.   The House welcomed the two Xaverian Confreres just arrived.: Fr. Abi Evansius, s.x. (Indonesia) and Fr. Marcelo Alves de Avila Ribeiro (Brazil).  Frs. Angelo Gutturiello and Fr. Luigi Vitella were unable to participate due to health reasons.  At the Assembly, we also considered the question of the “Repositioning”,  of the Jubilee Year of the Xaverian Connstitutions and of the Testament  Letter of the Founder St. Guido Maria Conforti, and, as well, of other topics to support the family spirit  and our closeness to the Local Church.  The Assembly ended with the Meeting of the Regional Xaverian Council.
