“Il 28 Settembre scorso P. Pierluigi Lupi (Superiore Regionale del Bangladesh) e il sottoscritto ci siamo incontrati con il vescovo della diocesi di Mymensingh Paul Ponen Kubi e il suo vicario. 

Come indicato dall'ultimo capitolo Regionale, ci siamo confrontati sulla proposta di erigere Noluakuri come parrocchia. In questa visita siamo giunti alla conclusione - con l’approvazione del vescovo diocesano - che il 4 Dicembre Noluakuri diventerà parrocchia.

La parrocchia sarà dedicata al nostro Fondatore, San Guido Maria Conforti. Una scelta voluta dai cristiani di Noluakuri che hanno chiesto di mettere il nome del nostro padre fondatore. Si tratta di una buona notizia in questo anno Giubilare per noi Saveriani.

Il primo annuncio del decreto di erezione della nuova parrocchia verrà dato Domenica 18 Ottobre, Giornata Missionaria Mondiale, nella Cattedrale di Mymensingh.

“On September 28^th – 2020,  Fr. Pierluigi Lupi (Regional Superior) and I met with the Bishop of the Diocese of  Mymensingh Paul Ponen Kubi and his Vicar. 

As recommended by the last Regional Chapter, we discussed the proposal to erect Noluakuri as a parish.  On this visit we came to the conclusion – with the approval of the Diocesan Bishop – that, on December 4^th – 2020,  Noluakuri will become a parish-  The parish will be dedicated to our Founder, Saint Guido Maria Conforti. This choice was wanted by the Christians of Noluakuri.  They had asked to name it after our Founder.  This is good news for us Xaverians, as we celebrate our special jubilee year.

The first announcement of the decree of erection of the new parish will be given on Sunday, October  18^th – 2020, World Mission Day, in the Cathedral of Mymensingh.  We do thank the Lord for this new journey that we begin in his name, under the protection of our Founding Father and of St. Francis Xavier.”  (Fr.
