Lunedì 19 maggio 2025, alle ore 23.40, presso la Clinica I Ovest, Bafoussam, Camerun, è deceduto per arresto cardiaco il nostro confratello p. Eugenio Juárez Hernández. P. Eugenio era nato a Cerano, Guanajuato, Messico, il 24 agosto 1958.

Ricoverato al mattino dello stesso lunedì 19  maggio 2025, p. Eugenio da sabato 17 maggio non si sentiva bene. Domenica 18 maggio, infatti, non era stato in grado di celebrare nelle comunità a causa di condizioni febbrili e difficoltà respiratorie.

In uno stato di forte agitazione e con problemi anche di articolazione del linguaggio, è entrato progressivamente in coma e alle ore 23. 40 di lunedì 19 maggio 2025 è spirato.

L’ Eucaristica (ore 10.00)  e riti di inumazione (ore 13.00) saranno celebrati a Douala, Camerun, mercoledì 28 maggio 2025.

On Monday, May 19^th, 2025, at 11:40 p.m. (local time), due to heart failure, our confrere Fr. Eugenio Juárez Hernández passed away at Clinic I West, Bafoussam, Cameroon. Fr. Eugenio was born in Cerano, Guanajuato, Mexico, on August 24th, 1958.

He was hospitalised in the morning of the same day, Monday, May 19^th, but had not been feeling well since Saturday, May 17^th. In fact, on Sunday, May 18^th, he could not go to celebrate mass in the communities because of fever and breathing difficulty.

He fell progressively into a coma following a state of strong agitation and problems of speech articulation. Finally, at 11:40 p.m. of Monday, May 19th, he passed away.

The Requiem Mass (10 a.m.)  and burial rites (1 p.m.) will be celebrated on Wednesday 28^th, May 2025, in Douala, Cameroon.
