Dalla nostra comunità Saveriana di Fnideq (Castillejos, Marocco), condividiamo con tutta la Famiglia che la sinodalità, a poco a poco, si sta realizzando e guadagnando terreno anche nella diocesi di Tangeri. E, per quanto ci riguarda, nelle ultime settimane siamo stati direttamente coinvolti nel processo sinodale, approfondendo, per ora, due dei nuclei tematici presentati nel Documento preparatorio: “Corresponsabili della missione” e “Dialogo nella Chiesa e nella società”. Ci sentiamo parte di un momento creativo del Popolo di Dio che vuole fare della sinodalità l'immagine, il profilo, lo stile... che rende significativo e trasparente il vero essere della Chiesa nel terzo millennio: se siamo comunione, popolo... allora dobbiamo camminare insieme. C'è ancora molta strada da fare.

Salutiamo con affetto tutta la famiglia Saveriana in occasione della festa di san Francesco Saverio, “Apostolo delle nuove genti” (San Giovanni Paolo II, Spagna, 1982) che, nel suo originale modo di fare missione, non ha camminato da solo: ha modellato la sua identità nella comunione con la Chiesa, tradotta in obbedienza e fedeltà come messaggero; e ha sempre agito con visione e orizzonti universali, in sintonia con la missione della Chiesa. Our Xaverian community of Fnideq (Castillejos, Morocco) wishes to share with the entire Family the news that, little by little, synodality is being actualised and taking roots in the diocese of Tangier. As far as we are concerned, in the last weeks we have been directly involved in the synodal process firstly through deepening two thematic nuclei in the Preparatory Document: “Co-Responsible in the Mission” and “Dialogue in the Church and Society.” We feel part of a creative moment in the life of God’s people. It is a people that wants to assume synodality as the profile and style which gives meaning to and makes transparent the identity of the Church in the third millennium. If we are communion, if we are people, then we must walk together. Much remains to be done.

We salute with affection the entire Xaverian family on the feast of St Francis Xavier, “Apostle of the new peoples” (St John Paul II, in Spain, 1982). Although he carried out mission in an original manner, he did not walk alone; In fact, he shaped his identity in communion with the Church, that is, through obedience and loyalty.
