Per commemorare il 15° anniversario della morte di p. Domenico Milani, l'Istituto Pedagogico Superiore di Bukavu (I.S.P.) in collaborazione con i Missionari Saveriani, organizza una giornata scientifica che si svolgerà nella “Salle Dominique Milani” il 27 maggio 2023 presso il succitato Istituto. Docenti e ricercatori di diverse università sono invitati a questa giornata scientifica e sono previste diverse conferenze sul tema "l'ISP di Bukavu e il suo p. Dominique Milani". Tra i relatori anche il nostro confratello p. Antonio Trettel sx che ha vissuto e lavorato con p. Milani all'I.S.P. E per immortalare la figura di Milani, si prevede, quando le condizioni (e i mezzi) lo consentiranno, di costruire un monumento alla sua memoria nel luogo denominato “Rotonda ISP”. Inoltre, la strada che va dall'ISP alla parrocchia Mater Dei sarà ri-intitolata “Avenue Révérend Père Dominique Milani”. (Barthélemy Kabwana Minani sx)

To commemorate the 15^th anniversary of Fr. Domenico Milani’s death, the Institut Supérieur Pédagogique of Bukavu (I.S.P.), in collaboration with the Xaverian Missionaries, organizes a science day that will be held in the “Salle Dominique Milani” on May 27^th, 2023, at the aforementioned Institute. Teachers and researchers from various universities are invited to take part in this science day. The programme includes different lectures on the theme ISP of Bukavu and his Fr. Dominique Milani. Among the invited speakers is our confrere, Fr. Antonio Trettel s.x., who lived and worked with Fr. Milani at the I.S.P. To keep alive the memory of Fr. Milani, the construction of a monument in his honour has been planned; once the conditions (and means) will make it feasible, the monument will be placed in the so-called “ISP Roundabout”. Moreover, the road leading from ISP to Mater Dei Parish is going to be re-named Avenue Révérend Père Dominique Milani. (Barthélemy Kabwana Minani s.x.)
