Sabato 8 maggio 2021, il Teologato di Manila ha tenuto un incontro online sul Dialogo interreligioso dal tema “Buddismo umanistico 3-4-5”. Gli oratori erano i venerabili You Lin e Luisa So, del Tempio di Mabuhay. La venerabile You Lin è la vicedirettrice del tempio FGS Mabuhay, a Malate, Manila. È venuta nelle Filippine nel 2012 ed è stata responsabile del Tempio Cebu Chu Un per 6 anni. In quel periodo, è stata direttrice monastica del Siddhartha Musical Cast e anche responsabile della costruzione del Guang Ming Institute of Performing Arts a Cebu, nel 2017.

L'incontro è iniziato alle 8:30 ed è stato seguito dalla comunità Saveriana di Filosofia (Project 8), dal giovane Yohanes Putra (Indonesia) e alcuni amici di Manila. I Venerabili You Lin e Luisa So hanno condiviso gli obiettivi umanistici del Buddismo, presentando i "Tre atti di bontà", i "Quattro doni" e le "Cinque armonie". Dopo la loro presentazione, c'è stata una discussione di gruppo, tempo per domande e risposte. L’incontro si è concluso alle 10:30. (Giomar Henrique Clemente sx)

On Saturday, May 8, 2021, the Theologate of Manila held an online meeting of Interfaith Dialogue on the topic “Humanistic Buddhism 3-4-5”. The speakers were the venerable You Lin and Luisa So, from Mabuhay Temple. Venerable You Lin is the Deputy Abbess of FGS Mabuhay Temple, in Malate, Manila. She came to the Philippines in 2012 and was in charge of Cebu Chu Un Temple for 6 years. In that time, she was the monastic head of the Siddhartha Musical Cast and also in charge of the construction of Guang Ming Institute of Performing Arts in Cebu, in 2017.

The meeting started at 8:30 am and was followed by the Xaverian Community of Philosophy (Project 8), brother Yohanes Putra (Indonesia), and some friends in Manila. Venerable You Lin and Luisa So shared the humanistic aims of Buddhism, presenting the ‘Three acts of goodness’, the ‘Four givings’, and the ‘Five harmonies’. After their presentation, there was group work discussion, time for questions and answers, and it ended at 10:30 am. (Giomar Henrique Clemente sx )
