Martedì 2 febbraio 2021, le due comunità Saveriane di Roma - con le dovute precauzioni - si sono ritrovate insieme nella casa Generalizia per celebrare la festa della Presentazione del Signore e la XXV Giornata Mondiale della Vita Consacrata. La celebrazione Eucaristica, presieduta da p. Oliviero Verzeletti, è iniziata con la benedizione delle candele nell’atrio antistante la cappella, dove era ancora allestito il presepio pazientemente curato da Fr. Giovanni Frizzo. Prima di concludere l’Eucaristia, il p. Generale ha consegnato a tutti i presenti il dono del Documento preparato dalla Congregazione per gli Istituti di Vita Consacrata e le Società di Vita Apostolica (2020): Il dono della fedeltà. La gioia della perseveranza. Manete in dilectione mea. La serata si è conclusa con la cena organizzata dai Fratelli Luigi Pinna e Maurizio Zenere. Il sentimento di profonda gratitudine al Signore, la ricchezza delle presenze (7 nazionalità) e la generosità di tutti nel servizio hanno reso bello l’incontro.     

On Tuesday, February 2^nd, 2021, having taken due precautions, the two Xaverian communities in Rome met in the General Direction’s house to celebrate the feast of the Presentation of the Lord and 25^th Word Day of Consecrated Life. The Eucharistic celebration was presided by Fr. Oliviero Verzelletti. It begun with the blessing of candles in the lobby in front of the chapel where the nativity scene, so patiently arranged by Br. Giovanni Frizzo, was still on display. Before the conclusion of the Mass, Father General handed out as a gift to those present a document edited by the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life titled The Gift of Fidelity. The Joy of Perseverance. Manete in dilectione mea (Jn 15:9). The evening ended with a supper organized by Br. Luigi Pinna and Br. Maurizio Zenere. The sentiment of deep gratitude to the Lord, the richness of those present (7 nationalities) and the generous service of all contributed to the happy realisation of this encounter.
