“MissioneOggi” (con il suo Direttore p. Mario Menin) in collaborazione con la Fondazione Civiltà Bresciana ha organizzato due eventi in streaming dal titolo “Giappone, il secolo cristiano”. Due conferenzieri laici hanno presentato sullo sfondo storico e culturale le figure di due missionari, Organtino Soldi e Tommaso Kintsuba. E’ intervenuto anche padre Filippini Renato mettendo in risalto come in periodo di persecuzioni la dedizione dei due missionari per la cura e formazione dei laici sia di esempio e di stimolo per noi in tempo di pandemia. Abilitare alla vita cristiana non si limita alla liturgia, ma anche alla testimonianza e proposta della fede, sull’esempio di Gesù che ne “costituì dodici perché stessero con lui, e per mandarli a predicare” (cfr. MissioneOggi (with its director Fr. Mario Menin, s.x.), in collaboration with Fondazione Civiltà Bresciana, organized two online event streaming entitled: “Japan, the Christian century”. Two lay lecturers presented the figures of two missionaries, Organtino Soldi and Tommaso Kintsuba, over against their historical and cultural background. Fr. Renato Filippini, s.x. also intervened, highlighting how the two missionaries’ dedication to the care and formation of the laity in times of persecution is an example and a stimulus for us in times of pandemic. Energizing Christian life is not limited to the liturgy. It requires also the witness and proposal of the faith, following the example of Jesus who “constituted twelve of them so that they could be with him, and be sent to preach” (see Mark 3.14-15). (Fr.
