I nove novizi hanno fatto la prima professione mercoledì 29 giugno, nella parrocchia di San Bernardo (Kinshasa) durante la Messa iniziata alle 11:00. Entrando in chiesa, tutti notavano gli addobbi in rosso, della solennità di San Pietro e Paolo e soprattutto l’uniforme blu-bianco degli allievi della Scuola Parrocchiale, una cinquantina, che formavano il coro. I novizi, durante il postulato, sono stati loro insegnanti di religione. E questi ragazzi hanno corrisposto con delle voci davvero celestiali che hanno dato un bel tono alla celebrazione. P. Bernard Cibambo sx, superiore regionale, nella celebrazione eucaristica da lui presieduta, ha sottolineato “il contesto” mondiale, saveriano, biblico nel quale la professione ha luogo, spiegandone il senso. “Dite di sì senza riserve. Incamminatevi verso il Cristo con una grande disposizione del cuore. Avete approfondito il carisma. Vivete secondo questo carisma”. Dopo la professione, la Missionaria di Maria - Saveriana Clémentine Mbombo, missionaria in Tchad e in vacanze da sua madre a Kinshasa, ha rinnovato l’atto di consacrazione all’onnipotenza misericordiosa di Dio in occasione dei 25 anni della sua prima professione. Buona la partecipazione della gente e di religiosi di altre congregazioni. Qualcuno ha fatto notare che è stata la prima volta che un così grande numero di confratelli accoglie qui a Kinshasa i neoprofessi (9 professi perpetui e 9 professi temporanei).

Giovedì 01 luglio 2021 è iniziato a Kinshasa l’anno canonico del noviziato con 10 giovani postulanti (un camerunese, tre burundesi, sei congolesi). L’eucaristia di entrata in Noviziato è stata presieduta dal superiore regionale, p. Bernard Cibambo sx. (Faustino Turco, sx)

Nine novices made their Religious Missionary Profession on Wednesday, June 29^th – 2021, in the Parish of St. Bernard (Kinshasa) during the 11:00 a.m. Holy Mass. Upon entering the church, everyone noticed the decorations in red for the solemnity of the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul, and above all, the blue-white uniform of the students of the Parish School – about fifty teenagers – that formed the choir. During their ‘postulancy’, the novices were their teachers of Religion. These teenagers responded with really heavenly voices, setting a nice tone to the whole celebration. Fr. Bernard Cibambo, s.x., Regional Superior, in the Eucharistic Celebration he presided, underlined the world, Xaverian and Biblical context in which that Religious Missionary Profession was taking place, explaining its meaning. “Say ‘yes’ unreservedly. Walk towards Christ with a great disposition of heart. You have deepened the charisma, now live according to this charism.” After the professions, Clèmentine Mbombo, a Xaverian Sister now working in Chad and presently on holiday at her mother’s house in Kinshasa, renewed her consecration to God’s merciful omnipotence on the occasion of her 25^th anniversary of her First Religious Missionary Profession. Participation of the people and of religious persons from other Religious Congregations was good.  Some pointed out that this was the first time such a great number of confreres welcomed the newly Professed (9 Perpetually Professed, and 9 Temporary Professed) here in Kinshasa.

On Thursday, July 1^st – 2021, the canonical year of Novitiate began in Kinshasa with 10 postulant young people (one Cameroonian, three Burundians, six Congolese). The Eucharistic Celebration for the entrance into the Novitiate was presided over by Fr. Bernard Cibambo, s.x., Regional Superior. (Fr. Faustino Turco, s.x.)
