Domenica 21 gennaio 24, il gruppo di apostolato che si incarica del dialogo interreligioso nel nostro Teologato, ha organizzato il suo primo incontro. Il tema è stato l'Islam.

P. Fabien Kalehezo T’Chiribuka, Consigliere Generale ed incaricato della Formazione di Base, in visita alla nostra comunità, ha detto dopo l'incontro: "Sono rimasto meravigliosamente sorpreso”! Siamo d'accordo con questa espressione.

In effetti, per tutta la durata dell'incontro, i due relatori ci hanno fatto pendere dalle loro labbra, mostrando la loro conoscenza, qualità e competenza. La conoscenza della loro religione, ma anche della nostra Chiesa e della Bibbia, rivelando una buona capacità di discussione. La qualità dei contenuti nella loro comunicazione si è rivelata anche nel buon dominio della lingua francese. La competenza dei due invitati, infine, corrispondeva alle loro qualifiche universitarie.

Il pubblico - composto da giovani confratelli, da alcuni giovani della parrocchia e da membri del Laicato Saveriano, lanciato ufficialmente il 22 ottobre 2023 - ha partecipato allo scambio ottenendo il voto B.

Ci siamo lasciati con l'augurio che il ponte costruito quel giorno tra noi e l'Islam porti a una relazione permanente tra le parti e che altre occasioni come questa seguano nel prossimo futuro. (Katindi Ramazani sx)

On Sunday, January 21^st, 2024, the apostolate in charge of Interreligious Dialogue in our Xaverian Theologate organized its first meeting. The focus was on Islam.

Fr. Fabien Kalehezo T’Chiribuka, General Councilor in charge of initial formation, who was visiting us, after the meeting said: "I was wonderfully surprised!” We agree upon this expression.

Indeed, throughout the meeting, the two speakers had us hanging on their every word as they revealed their knowledge, quality and competence; the knowledge of their own religion, but also of our Church and the Bible. They talked with us knowledgeably about several topics. The quality of the contents in their communication also revealed a good level of French proficiency. Their competence matched with their university qualifications.

The audience - made up of young confreres, some other young people from the parish and members of the Xaverian Laity, officially launched on October, 22^nd, 2023  - took part in the exchange, getting a B grade.

We left, wishing each other that the bridge built on that day between us, and Islam would lead to a permanent relationship between the two communities, and that other occasions of this kind would follow in the near future. (Katindi Ramazani s.x.)
