All’Assemblea elettiva della Circoscrizione di Spagna-Marocco, tenutasi dal pomeriggio di lunedì 31 agosto a giovedì 3 settembre 2026, hanno partecipato i confratelli che costituiscono la Delegazione, composta da tre comunità: Madrid, motore dell’animazione della Cultura Vocazionale Missionaria Saveriana, dell’economia e dell’assistenza ai fratelli anziani; El Llano de Molina come parrocchia missionaria sinodale Saveriana e Fnideq come luogo di incontro e dialogo interreligioso con il mondo musulmano e marocchino, con un’attenzione particolare per i più poveri. La nostra realtà Saveriana in Spagna e Marocco di questi ultimi tre anni, da un lato, si è consolidata nella sua identità e, dall’altro, sta vivendo una certa novità, poiché due delle tre comunità sono nate tra ottobre e novembre 2020, in due ambiti nuovi per la nostra Delegazione quali la parrocchia missionaria e il dialogo interreligioso con l’Islam in Marocco. Il tutto nel quadro della dimensione del Primo Annuncio, poiché la nostra Delegazione, come le altre circoscrizioni Saveriane, desidera vivere la dimensione dell’annuncio del Regno ai non cristiani e per questo la nostra dimensione di animazione della Cultura Vocazionale Missionaria vuole irradiare, proprio da dove si trova, la diffusione e la promozione di questa cultura vocazionale missionaria.

Abbiamo portato a termine il programma che ci eravamo prefissati, al quale abbiamo aggiunto nuove prospettive che ci sono state proposte dalla Chiesa locale di Madrid. I nostri sogni sono molti, ispirati, crediamo, dallo Spirito Santo, e hanno dato origine alle linee programmatiche per il prossimo triennio: l’interculturalità e l’intergenerazionalità, la cultura vocazionale missionaria, l’Ad Gentes, la Famiglia Carismatica Saveriana, l’economia e l’attenzione alla tutela e alla protezione dei minori.

In un clima di fraternità che guarda alla crescita personale e comunitaria della dimensione del Volto Umano del Saveriano, potremmo citare due frasi che abbiamo voluto inserire nel calendario 2027: “più siamo umani, più siamo di Dio” e “volto umile e vicino”. (Rolando Ruiz Durán sx)

The elective Assembly of the Spain-Morocco Circumscription was held from the afternoon of Monday, August 31^st to Thursday, September 3^rd, 2026. It was attended by the confreres from the three communities that make up the Delegation: Madrid, engine of the Xaverian missionary vocation promotion, the economy and the care for elderly confreres; El Llano de Molina, Xaverian missionary parish; and Fnideq, centre of meeting and interfaith dialogue with the Muslim and Moroccan world, where a particular attention is given to the poor. Over the last three years, our Xaverian reality in Spain and Morocco has been consolidating its identity and, on the other hand, has been experiencing certain novelties resulting from the birth, between October and November 2020, of two among the three communities – two new fields of engagement for our Delegation: the missionary parish and interreligious dialogue with Islam in Morocco. Everything has taken shape within the framework of the First Proclamation, for our Delegation, like other Xaverian Circumscriptions, wishes to live out the dimension of the proclamation of God’s Reign to the non-Christians. For this reason, even our promotion of the missionary vocation starts from emphasising the call to proclaim God’s Reign in the very place where such missionary vocation is being promoted.  

We have completed the programme we had agreed on, and we even added new perspectives to it – perspectives which were pointed out to us by the local Church in Madrid. Our dreams are many; inspired – so we believe – by the Holy Spirit, they have given rise to new strategic guidelines for the next three-year period: interculturality, intergenerationality, promotion of the missionary vocation, the Ad Gentes, the Xaverian Charismatic family, economy and attention to the safeguarding and protection of minors. 

The assembly was held in a spirit of fraternity that supports the personal and community growth of the human traits of the Xaverians. To summarise this spirit, we could mention two sentences that we included in our 2027 calendar: the more human we are, the more we belong to God and a humble and friendly face. (Rolando Ruiz Durán s.x.)
