Sabato 25 febbraio 2023 alle ore 18 verrà inaugurata negli spazi espositivi del Museo d’Arte Cinese di Parma la mostra fotografica “The Homo Sapiens 3” alla presenza dell’artista Arturo Delle Donne e della direttrice del Museo Chiara Allegri, a cui si aggiunge il contributo della compagnia teatrale Anellodebole che per l’occasione proporrà al pubblico letture selezionate dall’opera “Dove nascono le tempeste”.

Le 19 fotografie in mostra si aggiungono alle prime quaranta già presentate al pubblico dal 2021.

“Con questo progetto – precisa il fotografo Arturo Delle Donne – ho voluto celebrare la diversità come ricchezza di umanità, guardare oltre le differenze culturali. Scoprire il legame delle proprie origini attraverso l’abito indossato con amore, orgoglio e spesso con nostalgia. È stato soprattutto un viaggio ancestrale, un viaggio formativo nei luoghi, nelle culture, nei sentimenti delle persone che ho incontrato e ritratto”.

La direttrice del Museo d’Arte Cinese ed Etnografico, Chiara Allegri, afferma: “Il nostro Museo ha come obiettivo la massima diffusione e conoscenza delle altre culture. L’espressione fotografica di tessuti, abiti, accessori, prossemiche di tante etnie diverse conferma la nostra volontà e perseveranza nella ricerca antropologica, culturale e, non ultimo, umana”.

Il Museo d’Arte Cinese ed Etnografico di Parma, voluto nel 1901 dal fondatore dei missionari saveriani e grande visionario Guido Maria Conforti (allora vescovo di Parma), proclamato santo nel 2011, rappresenta un contenitore artistico e documentario di eccezionale rilievo.

On Saturday, February 25^th, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., the photographic exhibition “The Homo Sapiens 3” will open in the exhibition venue of the Museum of Chinese Art and Ethnography. Artist, photographer Arturo Delle Donne, and museum director, Chiara Allegri, will host the inauguration. This event will be enriched by the contribution of the theatrical troupe Anellodebole that will present the audience with a selection of readings from the work Dove nascono le tempeste (Where Storms are Born).

The 19 photos on display add up to the previous 40 ones that have already been shown to the public since 2021.

“With this project – clarifies Arturo Delle Donne – I intended to celebrate diversity as human richness, and look beyond cultural differences. I wanted to discover the bond with one’s own origins as manifested through cloths worn with love, pride and often with nostalgia. Mine has mostly been an ancestral trip, a formative journey through the places, cultures, sentiments of the people I met and portrayed.”

The director of the Museum of Chinese Art and Ethnography, Chiara Allegri, affirms: “Objective of our Museum is to spread as much knowledge about other cultures as possible. The photographic representation of fabrics, cloths, accessories and proxemics of many different ethnic groups demonstrates our will and perseverance in anthropological, cultural and, not least, human research.”

Established in 1901 at the behest of Guido Maria Conforti (then bishop of Parma), founder of the Xaverian missionaries and great visionary who would be proclaimed saint in 2011, the Museum of Chinese Art and Ethnography of Parma represents a container of art and documents of exceptional significance.
