La sera di venerdì 29 maggio la comunità parrocchiale del Sacro Cuore ha voluto chiudere il mese di maggio con una processione presso la grotta di Lourdes nello spazio della Casa Madre dei Missionari Saveriani. È ormai da alcuni anni che si ripete questa bella, comunitaria e luminosa iniziativa. Alle ore 21.00 si comincia la recita della preghiera del rosario, contemplando i misteri Gaudiosi, nella Chiesa del Sacro Cuore. E poi con le candele accese e alcuni canti, insieme si cammina  in processione alla Casa Madre. Il quarto mistero è annunciato davanti alla statua del nostro Fondatore San Guido Maria Conforti. Il misterio viene pregato mentre si cammina verso la piccola grotta di Lourdes dove si annuncia e si recita il quinto mistero. Conclusa la preghiera del Rosario, il parroco della parrocchia del Sacro Cuore, Don Paolo Salvadori, ha invitato il vescovo Natale Paganelli a condividere una riflessione. Questi ha ricordato che a Makeni, in Sierra Leone, il mese mariano (maggio) viene “chiuso” con una processione con tutto il popolo di Dio, pregando il rosario e cantando. Ha, inoltre, voluto sottolineare la presenza di Maria nel cenacolo accanto agli apostoli nel giorno di Pentecoste e prima ancora la sua presenza vicino alla croce del suo figlio Gesù che si dona perché l’umanità abbia vita. Ha concluso invocando dal Signore la benedizione sulla comunità parrocchiale del Sacro Cuore e su tutte le parrocchie affinché siano luce e ragione di speranza per ogni persona in questi tempi di forti cambiamenti.

On Friday evening, May 29^th, the community of the Sacred Heart Parish, Parma, wished to conclude the month of May with a procession to the Lourdes Grotto in the garden of the Mother House of the Xaverian Missionaries. This wonderful and uplifting community initiative has been taking place for several years already. At 9:00 p.m., it began with the prayer of the Rosary at the Sacred Heart Church, by contemplating the mysteries of Joy. Then, holding candles and singing, we walked together in procession to the Mother House. The fourth mystery was announced in front of the statue of our Founder, St. Guido Maria Conforti. We prayed the ten Hail Mary of that mystery while walking towards the Lourdes Grotto where the fifth mystery was announced and prayed. Following the prayer of the Rosary, the pastor of the Sacred Heart Parish, Rev. Paolo Salvadori, invited Bishop Natale Paganelli to share a reflection. The latter recalled that in Makeni, Sierra Leone, Mary’s Month (May) ‘ends’ with a procession of the entire people of God, that prays the rosary and sings. He emphasised Mary’s presence in the Upper Room alongside the apostles on the day of Pentecost, and before that, her presence at the foot of the cross of her Son Jesus, who gave himself so that humanity might have life. He concluded by asking the Lord to bless the parish community of the Sacred Heart and all parishes, “that they might be a light and a source of hope for everyone in these times of great change.”
