Sabato 8 ottobre 2022 abbiamo celebrato l'Eucaristia di rendimento di grazie, presieduta dal vescovo diocesano Mons. Rubén Darío Jaramillo. Una celebrazione di ringraziamento per i 47 anni della presenza dei Missionari Saveriani nella diocesi di Buenaventura (Colombia).
Numerosi sacerdoti diocesani hanno preso parte alla celebrazione. Hanno concelebrato anche i pp. Eulogio Cuéllar Muñoz sx (che ha lavorato per quasi 46 anni nella diocesi), Maurice Cesar Ndje Ndje sx (parroco della parrocchia di Cristo Redentor) ed Eduardo García Mandillo sx (Superiore Delegato della Circoscrizione della Colombia).
Altrettanto numerosa la partecipazione nell’Eucaristia di religiosi e religiose, laici impegnati e comunità cristiane del SINE (Sistema Integrale di Nuova Evangelizzazione).
Martedì 11 ottobre 2022, alle 10.00 del mattino, c’è stata la consegna ufficiale della parrocchia Cristo Redentor alle autorità diocesane.
Con questi passi si è conclusa la presenza dei “Misioneros Javerianos de Parma” nella Chiesa particolare di Buenaventura dopo essere arrivati nel 1975 e aver prestato servizio nelle parrocchie del Sacro Cuore nel barrio del Firme e Cristo Redentore nel barrio di Bolívar.
Ringraziamo Dio per tutti i fratelli che hanno lavorato a Buenaventura, servendo con dedizione le due comunità. Insieme possiamo dire: "misión cumplida". (Eduardo García Mandillo sx)
On Saturday, October 8th, 2022, we concelebrated a thanksgiving Mass presided over by the Diocesan Bishop, Msgr. Rubén Darío Jaramillo. It was a thanksgiving for 47 years of the Xaverian Missionaries’ presence in the Diocese of Buenaventura (Columbia).
Numerous diocesan priests took part in the celebration. Among the concelebrants were also Fr. Eulogio Cuéllar Muñoz s.x. (who has been working in the diocese for almost 46 years), Maurice Cesar Ndje Ndje s.x. (pastor of Christ the Redeemer Parish) and Eduardo García Mandillo s.x. (Superior Delegate of the Circumscription of Colombia).
Equally numerous were the religious men and women, lay Christians active in the diocese and Christian communities belonging to SINE (i.e., Integral System of New Evangelisation).
On Tuesday, October 11th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., Christ the Redeemer Parish was officially handed over to the Diocesan authorities.
Such were the steps leading to the end of the presence of the Misioneros Javeriano de Parma in this local Church of Buenaventura, where they had arrived in 1975 and where they served the Sacred Heart Parish in Barrio del Firme and Christ the Redeemer Parish in Barrio de Bolívar.
We are grateful to God for all the confreres that worked in Buenaventura, serving the two communities with much dedication. Together we can say: misión cumplida (mission accomplished). (Eduardo García Mandillo s.x.).
