The Xaverian community of Umphang, a new mission in the Thai Diocese of  Nakhon Sawan, on the border with Myanmar, recently suffered the disastrous consequences of a flood never seen before in the small town of Umphang. More than 2000 families have been affected by the storm, which has been bringing torrential rains for days and also our Xaverian residence, a rented house, was completely submerged by the water.
