Da parte della Caritas Diocesana di Brescia è arrivata alla nostra comunità la richiesta di aprire le porte della nostra casa a un gruppo di persone sordomute appena arrivate dalla Ucraina. Subito abbiamo risposto positivamente.

Ieri ad accogliere le prime nove persone c’era la gradita presenza del Vescovo di Brescia Mons. Pierantonio Tremolada. È stato un momento di profonda ricchezza umana e cristiana e diciamo grazie per la presenza di questi fratelli.

Le persone dopo il saluto sono state accompagnate alle rispettive stanze del primo piano situate tra i due chiostri della casa. Per la prossima settimana è previsto l’arrivo di altre persone.

Pensiamo che in questa emergenza il condividere la nostra casa con chi ha bisogno sia in linea con le esigenze del Vangelo e con il nostro essere missionari in Italia.

Facciamo nostro l’augurio del Vescovo. “Siamo convinti che il Signore aprirà una strada e ci permetterà di camminare nella pace”. (Mario Gallia sx)

Our community has received a request from the Diocesan Caritas of Brescia to open the door of our house to a group of deaf-mutes just arrived from Ukraine. We have immediately given our positive answer.

Yesterday, the Bishop of Brescia, Mons. Pierantonio Tremolada, graciously came at the welcome to the first nine persons. It has been a moment of deeply human and Christian richness; we are grateful for the arrival of these brothers.

After the greeting, these guests were accompanied to their rooms in the first floor between the two cloisters of the house. Others are due to arrive next week.

We think that, in this emergency, sharing our house with those in needs is in line with both the demands of the Gospel and our being missionaries in Italy.
