Il 27 aprile 2024, alcuni studenti hanno partecipato a un Forum teologico ecumenico interseminari organizzato dalla Diocesi di Novaliches in collaborazione con il Quezon City Ecumenical Fellowship (QCEF) e la St. Vincent School of Theology. Il tema del forum era: “La preghiera di Gesù per l'unità dei cristiani: Le sfide contemporanee per i futuri operatori delle Chiese”. Nelle due sessioni plenarie, i temi evidenziati sono stati: Sviluppo storico dell'impegno ecumenico cattolico romano ed Ecumenismo e spiritualità indigene. È stata un'occasione per incontrare altri seminaristi provenienti da scuole di teologia cattoliche e protestanti. Abbiamo anche avuto il tempo di condividere le nostre esperienze sull'unità come risposta alla preghiera di Gesù “perché tutti siano una cosa sola” (Gv 17,21). (Richard Niyukuri sx)

On April 27, 2024, some students took part in an Ecumenical inter-seminary Theological Forum organized by the Diocese of Novaliches in partnership with the Quezon City Ecumenical Fellowship (QCEF) and St. Vincent School of Theology. The topic of the forum was: “Jesus’ Prayer for Christian Unity: Its Contemporary Challenges to the Future Workers of the Churches”. In the two plenary sessions, the themes highlighted were: Historical Development of Roman Catholic Ecumenical Engagement, and Ecumenism and Indigenous Spiritualities. It was an opportunity for us to meet with other seminarians from both Catholic and Protestant Schools of Theology. We also had time to share our experiences on unity as a response to Jesus ‘prayer, “that all may be one” (Jn 17:21). (Richard Niyukuri sx)
