- Nella sezione Caro Capitolo, pubblichiamo l’intervento di p. Silvano da Roit sx, missionario in Giappone da tanti anni. Il confratello, a partire dalla domanda “che cosa chiedo al prossimo CG dei saveriani”, presenta ai capitolari, con convinzione, la sua richiesta: Riposizionarsi a partire dalla missione in Asia. - In Amare la nostra vocazione saveriana, appare l’interessante contributo di P. Matteo Rebecchi, sx – attuale Rettore della comunità della Teologia di Manila – dal titolo: Chiesa locale e missione ad gentes. Una esperienza. In esso, l’autore fa una lettura critica del Secondo Congresso Missionario Nazionale delle Filippine realizzato nell’aprile del 2022, in occasione delle celebrazioni per i cinquecento anni di evangelizzazione in quel paese asiatico. - Nella finestra ‘Risposte’, anche questa settimana pubblichiamo altri contributi (vedi qui) ricevuti dal Comitato preparatorio in risposta al questionario proposto dalla Scheda 4. Scarica e leggi.
- Stanno già cominciando ad arrivare le prime risposte (personale e comunitarie) alle domande della Scheda Tematica n.5 dal titolo: Dove siamo. Economia, strutture, governo (vedi qui), pubblicata lo scorso 14 gennaio 2023 in sei lingue.
- Infine, lo scorso sabato 28 gennaio 2023, il Comitato preparatorio si è riunito (online) per il consueto incontro mensile di lavoro.

Towards the XVIII General Chapter – (04 February 2023)
- In the Dear Chapter section, we publish the intervention of Fr. Silvano da Roit sx, missionary in Japan for many years. The confrere, starting with the question "what do I ask of the next CG of the Xaverians", presents to the chapter members, with conviction, his request: Repositioning from the mission in Asia. - In Loving Our Xaverian Vocation, appears the interesting contribution of Fr. Matteo Rebecchi, sx - current Rector of the Manila Theology community - entitled: Local Church and Mission ad gentes. An experience. In it, the author makes a critical reading of the Second National Missionary Congress of the Philippines held in April 2022, on the occasion of the celebrations for the five hundred years of evangelization in that Asian country. - * In the 'Risposte' window, again this week we are publishing more contributions (see here) received by the Preparatory Committee in response to the questionnaire proposed in Issue 04. Download and read.
- The first personal and community responses to the questions in Issue 05 with the title: Where are we. Economy, Structures, Government (see here) – available in six languages on the website as of last January 14, 2023 – are already beginning to arrive.
- Finally, last Saturday, January 28, 2023, the Preparatory Committee met (online) for its usual monthly meeting.
