COMUNITÀ SAVERIANA DI SALERNO – ITALIA: ESERCIZI SPIRITUALI DELLA “COMUNITÀ MISSIONARIA INTER-GENTES (CMI)”

Dal 3 al 6 agosto 2023 - presso la Casa dei Missionari Saveriani di Salerno - si sono tenuti gli Esercizi Spirituali della Comunità Missionaria Intergentes. Oltre ai membri di questa comunità, hanno partecipato anche alcuni amici, accogliendo l’invito a riflettere sul tema: “Osare la Speranza” .
Circa 20 persone hanno seguito interamente o in parte le iniziative dei tre giorni articolati in momenti di studio, riflessioni, visite guidate (Abbazia Benedettina di Cava de’ Tirreni, Salerno) e percorsi di trekking fatti insieme.
Scrive uno dei partecipanti: “…ci siamo ritrovati nella stessa casa in cui parecchi anni fa abbiamo iniziato ad aprire occhi e orecchie verso il mondo e la missione e, ognuno nella misura in cui ha potuto, non ha mai interrotto questo ‘inizio’”.
La Comunità Missionaria Intergentes (CMI) è una comunità laicale, espressione dello spirito missionario che esorta a condividere l’amore di Dio, in Gesù Cristo, nella vita di ogni donna e di ogni uomo fino agli estremi confini della terra (At 1, 8).

XAVERIAN COMMUNITY OF SALERNO, ITALY: SPIRITUAL EXCERCISES OF “COMUNITÀ MISSIONARIA INTER-GENTES”
From August 3rd to 6th, 2023, Comunità Missionaria Intergentes held its Spiritual Exercises in the house of the Xaverian Missionaries in Salerno. Apart from members of this community, also other friends, who accepted the invitation to reflect on the theme “Osare la Speranza (Daring Hope), joined the event.”
About 20 people took part in all or some of the initiatives carried out during the three days, which included moments of study, reflection, guided tours (to the Benedictine Abbey of Cava de’ Tirreni, Salerno) and going trekking together.
One participant writes: “We met again in the same house where several years ago we had begun opening up our eyes and ears to the world and to mission. Based on his/her possibilities, each one of us has never interrupted that beginning.”
Comunità Missionaria Intergentes (CMI) is a lay community, embodiment of the missionary spirit that impels to share God’s love, manifested through Jesus Christ, with every woman and man, till the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8)
