La Festa della presentazione di Gesù al tempio che si festeggia il 2 febbraio, ci porta in primo luogo ad alimentare una fede in grado di illuminare la vostra vocazione. Vi esorto per questo a fare memoria, come in un pellegrinaggio interiore, del “primo amore” con cui il Signore Gesù Cristo ha riscaldato il vostro cuore, non per nostalgia, ma per alimentare quella fiamma… (Benedetto XVI). Ringraziamo Dio per il dono della vita consacrata in questo anno giubilare e chiediamo uno sguardo nuovo, che sa riconoscere la Grazia e che sa incontrare quanti ancora non conoscono il Signore risorto.  Allora anche i nostri occhi vedranno la salvezza.

The Feast of the Presentation of Jesus in the temple brings us “primarily to nurture a faith capable to enlighten our vocation. I exhort you to make memory, as an interior pilgrimage of the ‘first love’ with which the Lord Jesus Christ warmed up your heart, not for nostalgia, but to nourish that flame” (Benedict XVI). Let us thank God for the gift of Consecrated Life in this Jubilee Year and let us ask for a new sight that can recognize the Grace that knows how to encounter those who do not yet know the Risen Lord. Then even our eyes will see the salvation.
