St. Guido M. Conforti’s Day in the Philippines

Celebrating our Founder’s Day has been an occasion of joy to all. We are happy to remember St. Conforti in our local communities and share it with the people we are ministering in Marikina, Project 8 and Maligaya (Novaliches). It has been another opportunity to rejoice because we share our charism with our people and they understand it.
Today we witnessed the renewal and Perpetual vows of our young brothers which was an opportunity to live the Conforti’s day to the fullness. God is indeed so good to us! Three of our brothers - Yustinus Hibur, Francisco J. Beltran Aceves and Adolphe Guy Khasa M. – have consecrated their lives forever to our Congregation.
We had the Mass in St. Francis Xavier Parish because the Theologate ‘s chapel is now too small to accommodate the whole Delegation since in the Philosophy stage there are many aspirants. Fr Javier Mexicano was the presider and Fr Cesar was the master of ceremony helping out in keeping the solemnity of each moment on high! Afterwards we had our festive dinner in the covered basketball-court and there was a very nice sense of brotherhood. The Project 8 community took good care of everything related to the liturgy, the practical arrangements and the fraternal agape were handle by the Theology community!
St. Guido Maria Conforti, our Father Founder, contemplated the Crucifix and from this mystical experience the desire to consecrate his life to God began. Such experience brings us, his children, to continue rooting our lives as priests, religious and missionaries on the One who gave his life on the Cross as an example of mercy, mission for the reign of God and love for his own. I believe that we should move slowly but firmly fulfilling our commitments of Vocation, Formation and Pastoral that give meaning to our presence in this country that has adopted as its own.
