Dal 4 al 18 agosto P. Eugenio Pulcini è a Città del Messico per partecipare alla programmazione della comunità di
teologia.
MESSICO
A San Juan del Río e ad Arandas nei due turni di convivenza preseminario (17-31 luglio) hanno partecipato, rispettiva-mente, 71 e 87 ragazzi.
Cinquanta sono stati invitati a entrare tra i Saveriani. Si pensa che circa il 60% otterrà il permesso dei genitori.
A Salamanca hanno partecipato alla convivenza 5 candidati al Postulato che sono stati accettati. Dai Seminari Minori se ne attendono altri 6, per cui la comunità dovrebbe essere costituita da undici Postulanti e da sei Novizi che hanno già iniziato l’anno di Noviziato.
ITALIA
Estate speciale questa del 2016! Molti giovani delle diocesi con le quali stiamo collaborando, hanno partecipato alla GMG, collegati con gli uffici diocesani della pastorale giovanile.
Due studenti di Parma sono andati a Cracovia, mentre gli altri saveriani hanno “operato” in casa.
Ad Ancona è stato organizzato un campo di lavoro con giovanissimi. Animatori soddisfatti per i rapporti instaurati con i partecipanti.
Un altro campo per giovani è previsto a Siracusa con gli immigrati, nella seconda metà di agosto.
Infine un animatore con un paio di giovani ha partecipato al campo organiz-zato dai saveriani di Spagna a Ceuta.

Il 1° agosto, all’Ospedale Generale di Douala è morto P. Giovanni Montesi. Il funerale è stato celebrato nella parrocchia di S. Giuda Apostolo a Ngodi Bakoko. La salma è stata infine portata al Centre Xavier.

MEXICO
The two pre-seminary convivencias at San Juan del Río and Arandas (17-31 July) were attended by, respectively 71 and 87 candidates.
Fifty were invited to join the Xaverians and it is estimated that about 60% of them will receive their parents’ permission.
In Salamanca 5 candidates to the Postulancy were at the convivencia and they were accepted. Another six are expected from the Minor seminaries, thus the community will be made up of 11 Postulants and 6 Novices (who have already started the Novitiate Year).
ITALY
Many young people from the dioceses in which we are collaborating were at the WYD in association with the diocesan offices pastoral ministry with young people.
Two students from Parma went to Krakow, whilst the others participated from home.
A campo di lavoro was organized in Ancona for young people and the animators were very satisfied with the relationship they were able to build with the participants.
Another campo for young people will be held in Siracusa, with immigrants, in the second half of August.
An animator and a couple of young people took part in the campo organized by the Xaverians of Spain in Ceuta.

1 Aug: Fr. Giovanni Montesi died in hospital in Douala. His funeral was celebrated in the parish of St. Jude the Apostle at Ngodi Bakoko, followed by burial at the Centre Xavier.
