La Famiglia dei Laici saveriani, dopo aver accompagnato con la preghiera e la riflessione i lavori di preparazione all’XVIII CG, desidera assicurare  ai Padri capitolari la costante invocazione dello Spirito Santo, vivo e presente in mezzo  a loro riuniti a Bukavu, la città che in questi giorni  rappresenta il cuore pulsante che “ama la nostra vocazione saveriana”.

La nostra famiglia desidera comunicare ai Padri delegati che, dal giorno  della solenne apertura del CG presso la  Domus dei Missionari Saveriani, sente particolarmente  forte  lo Spirito di famiglia che ci unisce, il desiderio di camminare insieme per “fare famiglia” con i poveri, i deboli, gli emarginati, le vittime dell’oppressione e dell’ingiustizia.

Restiamo uniti nell’Amore che ci spinge ad essere una piccola goccia nell’oceano della Missione Universale della Chiesa.

The Family of the Xaverian Laity have been accompanying in prayer and reflection the work of preparation for the XVIII GCh. Now, it assures the Chapter Fathers of its constant invocation of the Holy Spirit, who is living and present in their midst as they gather in Bukavu, the city which during these days represents the heart beating with “love for our Xaverian vocation”.

Our family wishes to inform the delegate Fathers that, since the day of the solemn opening of the GCh at the Domus of the Xaverian Missionaries, it feels with special intensity the Family Spirit which binds us together, and the desire to walk together to “create family” with the poor, the weak, the marginalised, and the victims of oppression and injustice.

Let us remain united in the Love which impels us to be a little drop in the ocean of the Church’s universal mission.
