Nei giorni 2-3-4 ottobre, avrà luogo a Parma il Festival FuturoPresente - Scienza Etica Società promosso da Centro Universitario di Bioetica dell’Ateneo di Parma. I temi che verranno affrontati saranno incentrati sulle sfide dell’IA e il rispetto dei valori umani, le implicazioni morali della scienza e del sapere contemporaneo, la space economy e la biodiversità, il tutto nell’ambito di un programma a cui parteciperanno oltre 50 tra scienziati e filosofi, giuristi, economisti e giornalisti, alcuni di loro di fama nazionale (come Cosimo Accoto, Francesca Rossi, il filosofo Maurizio Ferraris, dall’ex presidente della Camera Luciano Violante, ecc.). Scopo del Festival è quello di riflettere non più su come costruire il futuro, ma su come custodirlo e difenderlo per le prossime generazioni. A questo riguardo, il 3 ottobre alle ore 21.00, il Festival ospiterà anche un incontro esplicitamente riservato all’Enciclica Magnifica Humanitas di Leone XIV a cui interverrà anche il nostro confratello p. CENTRE FOR BIOETHICS, PARMA UNIVERSITY – The Festival: FuturePresent – Science Ethics Society
The FuturoPresente Festival – Science, Ethics, and Society, promoted by the Centre for Bioethics of the University of Parma, will take place in Parma on October 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. The Festival will deal with topics centring around: the challenges of A.I. and the respect for human values; the moral implications of science and contemporary knowledge; space economy and biodiversity. More than 50 participants, including scientists, philosophers, economists and journalists (among whom are internationally renowned personalities, such as Cosimo Accoto, Francesca Rossi, philosopher Maurizio Ferraris, the former President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Luciano Violante, etc.) will take part in the programme of the Festival. The purpose of the Festival is no longer to reflect on how to build the future, but on how to preserve and defend it for future generations. In this connection, on October 3rd, at 9:00 p.m., the Festival will host a session specifically dedicated to Pope Leo XIV’s encyclical Magnifica Humanitas, featuring a presentation by our confrere, Fr.
