“Camminiamo insieme nella giustizia” è il titolo del messaggio di Natale 2023 dei Vescovi cattolici della nazione ciadiana. La lettera è suddivisa in tre parti (I. Ciò che noi crediamo: la giustizia è una delle colonne della pace; II. Ciò che noi costatiamo: “per comprare con denaro gli indigenti e il povero per un paio di sandali?”; III. Ciò che noi proponiamo: osiamo mettere in pratica la giustizia).  

 Con un cuore attento e preoccupato per il presente e per un futuro migliore del Ciad, nel loro messaggio natalizio di quest'anno, i vescovi ciadiani puntano ancora una volta il dito contro la mancanza di giustizia come fonte di infelicità in questa bella terra di Toumaï. Ispirandosi alle parole del profeta Amos, i vescovi del Ciad denunciano il male principale che ferisce il Paese: l'ingiustizia nella sfera sociale, economica, ambientale, politica, amministrativa, culturale, religiosa e giudiziaria della vita ciadiana. Nell’ultima parte del messaggio, i vescovi propongono alcune vie d'uscita specifiche per ricostruire una nuova società basata sulla giustizia per tutti. In particolare, i vescovi esortano tutte le istituzioni di transizione a mantenere il loro ruolo fondamentale, quello di ripristinare l'ordine costituzionale, che è la conditio sine qua non per uno Stato di diritto che garantisca la giustizia per tutti i suoi cittadini. “Let us walk together in justice” is the title of the message of the Catholic bishops of the Chadian nation for Christmas 2023. The letter is divided into three parts (I. What we believe: justice is ne pillar of peace; II. What we observe: “We will buy the lowly man for silver, and the poor man for a pair of sandals?”; III. What we propose: let us dare practice justice).

With an attentive heart that worries about the present of Chad and yearns for a better future, in their Christmas message for this year, the Chadian bishops once again pointed their finger at lack of justice as the source of unhappiness in this beautiful land of Toumaï. By drawing inspiration from the words of the prophet Amos, the bishops of Chad denounce the main evil that harms their Country: injustice in the social, economic, environmental, political, administrative, cultural, religious and juridical domains of Chadian life. In the final part of their message, the bishops propose some specific solutions for reconstructing a society based on justice for all. In particular, the bishops urge all transitional institutions to maintain their fundamental role, that is, re-establish the constitutional order, essential precondition for a state based on the rule of law that guarantees justice for all its citizens.
