Alla vigilia del Mercoledì delle Ceneri, durante l’incontro comunitario, abbiamo ricordato insieme il senso e il valore del cammino quaresimale: un cammino verso Pasqua, il cuore del Vangelo stesso, l’esplosione di luce e di vita che ha dato senso all’esistenza di quanti, avendo udito la sua proclamazione (“Non è qui, è risorto”), sono diventati testimoni perché hanno creduto nella risurrezione di Gesù. Oggi, è lo stesso evento che illumina e dà senso ai passi quaresimali e alla vita di ciascuno di noi. Essendo discepoli bisognosi di crescita e conversione, durante la quaresima ci siamo impegnati ad essere più aperti verso Dio e verso i fratelli, con la grazia di Dio e l’impegno libero di ciascuno di noi.

E per esprimere e testimoniare la metanoia interiore, abbiamo ridotto il consumo di alcuni cibi e la consueta birra domenicale. Sono gesti modesti che vogliono dire la nostra solidarietà con chi è nel bisogno e sta peggio di noi. È anche il nostro riconoscimento a Dio per tutto quello che siamo e abbiamo.

Nonostante gli impegni di studio, ci recheremo a Radio Maria per l’animazione missionaria e vocazionale. Celebreremo il rito della Via Crucis insieme alla gente. Anche il Triduum Pasquale verrà celebrato e vissuto con tutta la nostra comunità parrocchiale. (Katindi Ramazani sx)

On the vigil of Ash Wednesday, during the community meeting, we have reviewed the significance and value of the Lenten journey: it is a journey towards Easter, the core of the Gospel, explosion of light and life that has given meaning to all those that, after having heard its proclamation (“He is not here, for He is risen”), have become witnesses, because they have believed in Jesus’ resurrection. Today, that same event gives light and meaning to the Lent journey and to the life of each one of us. Since we are disciples in need of growth and conversion, with God’s grace and the personal and free commitment of each one, we have taken the resolution to be more open to God and to our brothers during the Lent season.

To express and witness our interior metanoia, we have reduced the consumption of some types of food and the usual bier on Sundays. Through these modest signs we mean to express our solidarity with those who are in need and destitution. It is also our way to recognize that all we are and have comes from God. Despite our academic commitments, we will go to Radio Maria to carry out mission awareness and vocation ministry. We are going to celebrate the Way of the Cross with the people. We will celebrate also the Paschal Triduum with our entire parish community. (Katindi Ramazani s.x.)
