Il 2 luglio, noi Missionarie di Maria - Saveriane abbiamo avuto la gioia di celebrare la Festa di Famiglia nel Santuario San Guido Maria Conforti, il "Padre del nostro saverianesimo". La celebrazione dell'Eucaristia, presieduta dal Consigliere generale p. Fabien Kalehezo T’Chiribuka, è stata allietata da gioiosi canti in lingue e dalla partecipazione di vari confratelli, consorelle, parenti e amici.

La data del 2 luglio, richiamo a eventi legati alla nostra storia, prima della riforma liturgica era anche la festa della Visitazione, l'icona biblica a cui si ispira la nostra Famiglia. È stata scelta così tale data per le professioni religiose.

Ci siamo unite al canto del Magnificat di Maria: Dio continua a operare cose grandi attraverso strumenti deboli. Abbiamo lodato Dio per le nostre sorelle congolesi Françoise Atumisi e Anne-Marie Rehema Ntadumba che si sono consacrate a Lui per sempre nella nostra Famiglia, per la missione.

Françoise ha iniziato il suo percorso vocazionale sentendosi interpellata dalle parole di Papa Benedetto XVI dirette ai giovani: se il Signore vi chiama a seguirLo nella vita consacrata, non abbiate paura. Egli sa donare la gioia profonda a chi risponde con coraggio.

Anne Marie Rehema porta nel suo stesso nome, Rehema, il richiamo alla Misericordia di Dio, esperienza fatta prima dal suo papà e riconosciuta poi anche da lei come tratto particolare della spiritualità delle Missionarie di Maria.

Altre due sorelle hanno rinnovato i voti e varie sorelle hanno ricordato anniversari importanti di professione religiosa.

La Direttrice generale Giordana Bertacchini, che ha ricevuto le professioni, ci ha invitate a diventare tessitrici “di speranza nel nostro mondo, condividendo ciò che siamo e ciò che abbiamo, così che la presenza di Gesù cresca in mezzo a noi e prenda forma il suo Regno” (Magnifica Humanitas n. 245). On July 2^nd, we, Missionaries of Mary-Xaverian Sisters, had the joy to celebrate our Family Feast in the shrine of St. Guido Maria Conforti, the father of our common Xaverian identity (saverianesimo). The Eucharistic celebration presided over by General Councillor Fr. Fabien Kalehezo T’Chiribuka was brightened by joyful songs in different languages and by the participation of various confreres, sisters, relatives, and friends.

July 2^nd is associated with events in our history, and, before the liturgical reform, this date was also the Feast of the Visitation, the biblical icon that inspires our Family. This why this day was chosen for the religious professions.

We joined Mary in singing the Magnificat, for God continues working great things through weak instruments. We likewise praised God for the gift of our Congolese sisters Françoise Atumisi and Anne-Marie Rehema Ntadumba who consecrated themselves forever to Him within our Family for the mission.

Françoise began her vocational journey feeling called by the words of Pope Benedict XVI to young people: if the Lord calls you to follow Him in consecrated life, do not be afraid. He knows how to give deep joy to those who respond with courage.

Anne Marie Rehema carries in her own name, Rehema, a reference to God’s Mercy, an experience first lived by her father and later she herself recognized as a special aspect of the spirituality of the Missionaries of Mary. 

Two other sisters renewed their vows, and several sisters celebrated important anniversaries of their religious profession. 

The Superior General Giordana Bertacchini, who received the professions, invited us to become “weavers of hope in our world, sharing who we are and what we have, so that the presence of Jesus may grow among us and his Kingdom take shape.” (Magnifica Humanitas no. 245). (Fernanda Tettamanzi, mmx)
