Bukavu-Panzi – Il 29 gennaio è stato inaugurato il Complesso Scolastico dedicato alla memoria di P. Antonino Manzotti alla presenza dell'arcivescovo di Bukavu, Mgr Francois Xavier Maroy, il coordinatore diocesano delle scuole cattoliche, l'Abbé Patrice Mukata, e di migliaia di alunni delle scuole di Panzi. Il Complesso è stato benedetto e festeggiato con canti e danze, mettendo in mostra i molteplici talenti degli alunni. Per l'occasione sono arrivati dall'Italia quattro "Amici di padre Antonino Manzotti" che hanno sostenuto assieme alla parrocchia e ai genitori degli alunni la costruzione della scuola. Gli amici di Padre Antonino sono i benefattori di Novellara, Guastalla e Brescello (RE) che lo avevano aiutato durante tutta la sua lunga missione (50 anni) in Congo. Molti lo ricordano ancora come "il confessore e l'animatore vocazionale" e la sua memoria vive tra noi. Proverbiale il suo detto: "Purché il Regno di Dio vada avanti, tutto va bene!”

Bukavu-Panzi, 29 Jan: inauguration of the school dedicated to the memory of Fr. Antonino Manzotti. The event was attended by Archbishop Francois Xavier Maroy of Bukavu, the diocesan coordinator of Catholic schools, Abbé Patrice Mukata and thousands students from the schools of Panzi. The school was blessed and celebrations continued with the students showing their skills in dancing and singing. For the occasion, four members of the group "Amici di padre Antonino Manzotti" arrived from Italy; the group had supported the construction of the school along with the parish and the parents of the students. Among these friends are benefactors from Novellara, Guastalla and Brescello (RE) who had supported Fr. Antonino during his long mission experience (50 years) in the Congo. Many still remember him as "the confessor and vocation animator " and his memory lives on among us. He was famous for saying: "Anything goes, as long as the Kingdom of God grows!”
