Varie manifestazioni, animate dal Comitato di coordinamento del laicato cattolico, sono state represse nel sangue dalle forze dell’ordine, con un bilancio di almeno sei morti, 70 feriti e 115 persone arrestate fra cui diversi esponenti del clero. Tension in the country remains high. Some demonstrations led by lay Catholic organizations were violently repressed by the police, leaving at least 6 people dead, 70 injured and 115 arrested, some of them some members of the clergy.
