In occasione della Festa di Desio (Milano, MB) e della cerimonia per la celebrazione del 100esimo Anniversario di Desio - Città, sabato 5 ottobre 2024 saranno consegnate le civiche benemerenze dell’anno 2024 a personalità e associazioni che hanno svolto in modo generoso e disinteressato il proprio impegno per la comunità. La giunta Comunale di Desio, infatti, ha deliberato che il riconoscimento “Corona Turrita” sia consegnato a quattro soggetti benemeriti in diversi ambiti: attività sociali, arti e cultura e solidarietà umana.

Tra i quattro benemeriti, anche i Missionari Saveriani di Desio, nell’ambito della solidarietà umana, con la seguente motivazione: “Rappresentano la testimonianza di una spiccata solidarietà tra i desiani da quasi 80 anni”.

La “Corona Turrita” è una pubblica distinzione onorifica concessa a persone, enti, istituzioni pubbliche e private, che si sono contraddistinte per impegno e dedizione, attraverso iniziative di interesse generale per lo sviluppo tecnico, produttivo, culturale e sociale della Città, nei settori: Scienza, Lettere, Arti e Cultura; Lavoro; Scuola, Attività Sociali e Sportive; Atti di Coraggio e Solidarietà Umana. La speciale onorificenza consiste nella consegna solenne di un attestato e di una medaglia con il relativo simbolo.

On the occasion of Desio Day (Milan, MB) and the ceremony for the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the City of Desio, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, the public merits for the year 2024 will be awarded to personalities and associations who have generously and selflessly carried out their commitment to the community. The Desio City Council has decided that the "Corona Turrita" award should be presented to four deserving individuals in different fields: social activities, arts and culture, and human solidarity.

Among the four well-deserving individuals in the field of human solidarity, we have the Xaverian Missionaries of Desio. The recognition has the following motivation: "They represent the testimony of a strong solidarity among the people of Desio for almost 80 years".

The "Corona Turrita" is a public honorary distinction granted to people, entities, and public and private institutions who have distinguished themselves by commitment and dedication through initiatives of general interest for the technical, productive, cultural, and social development of the City, in the areas: Science, Letters, Arts, and Culture; Work; School, Social, and Sports activities; Acts of Courage and Human Solidarity. The special honor consists of the solemn presentation of a certificate and a medal with the corresponding symbol.
