FO GUANG SHAN (佛光山) – TAIWAN: “Costruire la pace e ottenere la gioia nello scambio reciproco dell’esperienza religiosa”

Lunedì 04 marzo 2024, il nostro confratello p. Paulin Batairwa Kubuya, Sottosegretario del Dicastero per il Dialogo interreligioso ha visitato l’ importante monastero “Fo Guang Shan” (Kaohsiung - Taiwan) e ha reso omaggio al suo compianto maestro fondatore, il Venerabile Maestro Hsing Yun e al suo contributo al mondo.
Insieme a p. Paulin c’erano l’arcivescovo di Taipei Chung An-chu, il direttore del Dipartimento per gli Scambi dell’Università Cattolica di Taipei, Fu Jen e altri 11 accompagnanti provenienti da varie parti del Buddismo umanistico.
P. Paulin Batairwa Kubuya ha elogiato il contributo di Fo Guang Shan alla società e alla cordialità tra le religioni, attraverso il programma "Amore e Pace". Il sottosegretario ha evidenziato la bontà, la bellezza e l'armonia delle religioni, e le “tre cose buone" ricercate e sostenute dal Maestro Hsing Yun: "fare del bene, parlare bene e avere un buon cuore". P. Paulin Batairwa Kubuya ha sottolineato che l'eredità lasciata dal fondatore è importante e che, nonostante la sua scomparsa, i suoi discepoli, oggi, stanno portando avanti lo spirito del Buddismo Umanistico e lavorano insieme per la pace tra le religioni.

FO GUANG SHAN (佛光山), TAIWAN: “Building peace and finding joy through mutual exchange of one’s religious experience”
On Monday, March 4th, 2024, our confrere Fr. Paulin Batairwa Kubuya, undersecretary of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, visited the important Fo Guang Shan Monastery (Kaohsiung, Taiwan) and paid homage to the contribution made to the world by its founding Master, the Venerable Master Hsing Yun.
With Fr. Paulin were the Archbishop of Taipei, Chung An-chu, the Director of the department for Exchanges of Fujen Catholic University (Taipei) and other 11 people coming from various circles of the humanistic Buddhism.
Fr. Paulin Batairwa Kubuya extolled the contribution of Fo Guang Shan to society and to cordial relations between religions through its “Love and Peace” programme, which demonstrates the goodness, beauty and harmony between religions. He recalled the “three good deeds” searched for and promoted by Master Hsing Yun: Doing good, speaking good and having a good heart. Fr. Paulin Batairwa Kubuya stated that the legacy of this founder is important and noted that, although Master Hsing Yun has already left us, his disciples keep carrying on the spirit of Humanistic Buddhism by working together for peace among religions.
