Dio sceglie uno per amare tutti, per arrivare a tutti”. Lo ha sottolineato il Papa durante la catechesi dedicata alla passione per l’evangelizzazione. Questo il Signore desidera: che il suo Vangelo sia per tutti. In esso, infatti, c’è una “potenza umanizzatrice”, un compimento di vita che è destinata ad ogni uomo e ogni donna, perché per tutti Cristo è nato, è morto, è risorto. Sentiamoci al servizio della destinazione universale del Vangelo, è per tutti, e distinguiamoci per la capacità di uscire da noi stessi e avere anche la capacità di superare ogni confine.
La Parola di Dio ci mostra che quando Dio chiama una persona e stringe un patto con alcuni il criterio è sempre questo: elegge qualcuno per raggiungere altri, questo è il criterio di Dio, della chiamata di Dio.
“GOD CHOSES ONE TO REACH EVERYONE”: CATECHESIS ON THE PASSION FOR EVANGELISATION (NOVEMBER 22ND, 2023)
“God chooses one in order to love everyone, to reach everyone.” This what the Pope emphasised during his catechesis on the passion for evangelisation. The Lord desires this, that His Gospel is for everyone. Indeed, in it there is a “humanizing power”, a fulfilment of life that is destined for every man and woman, because Christ was born, died, and rose again for everyone.
Let us feel that we are at the service of the universal destination of the Gospel, it is for everyone; and let us distinguish ourselves for our capacity to come out of ourselves and let us also have the capacity to cross all borders. The Scripture shows us that when God calls a person and makes a pact with some of them, the criterion is always this: elect someone to reach others, this is the criterion of God, of God’s calling.
