Il 26 ottobre si è tenuto a Himeji (Prefettura di Hyogo) il 15° Incontro di Preghiera per le vittime di guerra e per la pace, organizzato dalla Risshokoseikai (Nuova Religione Giapponese) sotto l'egida del Tempio Shoshazan Engyo (Buddismo Tendai). Per la quarta volta, p. Rocco Viviano sx, in qualità di direttore della Commissione per il dialogo interreligioso dell'arcidiocesi di Osaka-Takamatsu, è stato invitato come rappresentante della Chiesa Cattolica.

Il 29 ottobre, inoltre, padre Rocco è stato invitato a parlare al secondo Convegno sulla Pace, organizzato dall'IPSO (International Peace and Sustainability Organisation) e tenutosi all'Università di Kyoto. Il titolo dell'intervento, tenuto sotto forma di intervista, era "De-politicizzare il dialogo interreligioso", e verteva sul contributo del dialogo interreligioso alla costruzione della pace. The 15^th Gathering of Prayer for War Victims and for Peace, organised by the Risshokoseikai (a Japanese New Religion) under the aegis of the Shoshazan Engyo Temple (Tendai Buddhism), was held on 26 October, in Himeji (Hyogo Prefecture). For the fourth time, Fr Rocco Viviano sx, as Director of the Interreligious Dialogue Commission of the Osaka-Takamatsu Archdiocese, was invited as the Catholic representative.

         On 29 October, Fr Rocco was also invited to speak at the second Conference of Peace, organised by IPSO (International Peace and Sustainability Organisation), and held at the University of Kyoto. The title of the talk, given in the form of an interview was ‘De-politicising Interreligious Dialogue’, and centred on the contribution of interreligious dialogue to peacebuilding.
