Jakarta. Sabato 18 maggio, nella casa del Noviziato e Pre-Noviziato, si è celebrato solennemente il terzo anniversario della morte di P. Francesco Marini. Per ricordare la sua eredità spirituale, la comunità degli studenti della Filosofia di Jakarta ha organizzato un incontro di Dialogo interreligioso, un’ora prima della rottura del digiuno, essendo il mese di Ramadham. L’incontro, che aveva come tema: “Una solidarietà politica e una santità dialogale”, è stato un evento di preghiera e di condivisione nella memoria di P. Marini, nel quale molte persone hanno dato la loro testimonianza su P. Francesco, tra cui, la signora Mushdah Mulia, musulmana, presidente dell’Indonesian Conference for Religion and Peace, un amico della comunità di S. Egidio, una signora dell’associazione dei laici saveriani di Jakarta e P. Rodolfo Ciroi, che hanno sottolineato vari aspetti del modo con cui P. Marini ha vissuto con coerenza e umiltà il suo impegno per promuovere il dialogo e l’amicizia come santità già presente nel mondo.

La celebrazione, è stata conclusa con un intervento di P. Vitus Rubianto, seguito dalla cena della rottura del digiuno.

Jakarta: Saturday, May 18 – 2019:  In the House of the Pre-Novitiate and Novitiate, we celebrated the third anniversary of the death of Fr. Francesco Marini.  To remember his spiritual heritage, the Philosophy Community of Jakarta organized an Evening Encounter of Religious Dialogue, an hour before the ending of the Ramadhan Fast for the Moslems.  The topic of the Encounter was: “Political Solidarity and Dialogical Holiness.”  It was a moment of prayer and of mutual sharing as we remembered Fr. Francesco Marini.  Many persons gave their personal testimony.  Among them there was Mrs. Mushdah Mulia, Moslem, president of the Indonesian Conference for Religion and Peace, a friend of the Community of St. Egidio, and a member of the Association of Lay Xaverian Friends in Jakarta.  Also Fr. Rodolfo Ciroi contributed his own personal experience and, all together, underlined various aspects through which Fr. Francesco Marini had lived his life with coherence, authenticity and humility, promoting dialogue and friendship as a way of holiness already present in the world.  

At the end of the celebration, Fr. Vitus Rubianto contributed with his testimony and reflection.  There followed supper and the Breaking of the Moslem Fast.
