- La sezione “Risonanze”, questa settimana ospita le riflessioni di Lucien N. Bisimwa: “Quel sens donner à la consécration missionnaire à partir de la Lettre Testament de Saint Guido M. Conforti?”. Lucien, 27 anni, è un giovane confratello della Repubblica Democratica del Congo, originario della parrocchia di Cimpunda la quale è stata gestita dai saveriani dal 1978 al 1996. Ha fatto la prima professione il 24 giugno scorso, a Kinshasa. È stato destinato alla teologia di Manila, ma a causa dei problemi sorti dalla pandemia Covid-19 quest’anno farà un anno di pastorale in Congo.
- In occasione dell’anno giubilare saveriano, in Tailandia abbiamo fatto una prima traduzione in tailandese della Lettera Testamento. Durante il periodo in cui, a causa del Covid 19, siamo rimasti bloccati in casa, i padri saveriani con il grande contributo dei laici tailandesi che fanno parte della comunità mista di Bangkok, hanno steso una prima redazione in tailandese, poi rivista. Il 28 Settembre, all'inizio della prima Assemblea di delegazione della Tailandia, durante la Celebrazione Eucaristica, è stato consegnato il testo a tutti i confratelli. Dopo 8 anni di presenza saveriana in Tailandia, questo è un segno che vuole mostrare il nostro desiderio di entrare sempre più profondamente in questa cultura con uno spirito saveriano, condividendo il carisma e lo stile del nostro fondatore.
- Ricordiamo a tutte le comunità di utilizzare la guida “Schemi di adorazione comunitaria per i giovedì”, preparata per l’anno Giubilare. La data suggerita è quella del secondo giovedì di ogni mese. Per giovedì prossimo, 8 ottobre, siamo già al quarto tema: Consacrati per la missione (LT 2).
- Infine, invitiamo le Circoscrizioni e le comunità locali, a preparare e celebrare bene la Giornata dei Martiri Saveriani, che – come già ci era stato informato nella lettera di “promulgazione” – si commemora il secondo venerdì del mese di ottobre, mese missionario. Quest’anno questa giornata cade il 9 ottobre.

- The section “Resonances”, this week, hosts the reflections of our Confrere Lucien N. Bisimwa, s.x.: “Quel sens donner à la consecration missionaire à partir de la Lettre de Saint Guido M. Conforti?. Lucien, 27 years old, is a young Xaverian Confrere from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Originally, he was from the parish of Cimpunda, which was run by the Xaverians from 1978 to 1996. Lucien celebrated his First Religious Missionary Profession on June 24th – 2019, in Kinshasa. Originally, Lucien was assigned to the Theology Community in Manila. Due to the problems, which arose from the Covid 19 pandemic, he is now in Congo for a special pastoral year.
- On the occasion of the Jubilee Year, in Thailand, we made a first Thai translation of the Testament Letter. During the period when, due to the Covid 19, we Xaverians were stuck in the house, with the great contribution of the Thai laymen who are part of the mixed community of Bangkok, laid out a first editorial in Thai language, then revised. On September 28th, at the beginning of the First Xaverian Assembly in Thailand, the text was given to the all confreres. After 8 years of Xaverian presence in Thailand, this is a sign that shows our desire to enter deeper and deeper into this culture with a Xaverian spirit, sharing the charism and style of our Founder.
- We remind all the Xaverian Communities to use the “Community Worship schemes for Thursdays” guide, prepared for the Jubilee Year. The suggested date is the second Thursday of each month. For the next Thursday, October 8th – 2020, we are already on the fourth theme: “Consecrated for Mission (LT 2).
- Finally, we invite all the Xaverian Regions and ask the Communities to prepare and celebrate well the Day of the Xaverian Martyrs, which – as we were already informed in the letter of “promulgation” – commemorates them on the second Friday of the month of October, Missionary month. This year it will fall on October 9th – 2020.
