La giornata del Fondatore nelle Filippine è stata celebrata con tre giorni di attività. Il 5 novembre, nella cappella della Comunità del Teologato Internazionale, i confratelli hanno rinnovato i loro voti nelle mani del Superiore Delegato, e alla presenza di altri Saveriani e di alcuni laici. Dopo l’Eucaristia, abbiamo pranzato insieme.

Domenica 6 novembre si è svolta una giornata di animazione missionaria chiamata “Open House”. In questa giornata la casa del Teologato Internazionale ha aperto le sue porte a tutti coloro che desideravano conoscere meglio il carisma Saveriano e il Fondatore. La giornata è stata organizzata in collaborazione e con il concreto sostegno della comunità di Filosofia e dei Laici Saveriani. Dalle 9:00 alle 16:00 abbiamo ricevuto 16 gruppi. Un totale di 300 persone, circa, per lo più provenienti dalla nostra parrocchia. Dopo un breve orientamento, i vari gruppi hanno seguito un percorso tracciato all'interno della casa. Durante il giro, i partecipanti hanno potuto apprezzare diverse e dinamiche presentazioni sulla vita e vocazione del Fondatore e sulla famiglia Saveriana, sulla missione nelle Filippine e sui Saveriani nel mondo. Al termine del percorso, i partecipanti hanno ricevuto il loro invio missionario in una breve celebrazione in cappella. È stata un'attività molto gradita da tutti. Alcuni hanno condiviso che è stata la prima volta che hanno conosciuto in modo più profondo il carisma saveriano.

Lunedì 7 novembre le 4 comunità della Delegazione Saveriana si sono riunite nuovamente per la giornata saveriana. Al mattino, p. Cesar da Silva ha presentato una riflessione sul Fondatore, sottolineando gli incontri fondamentali con il Crocifisso e la figura di Francesco Saverio, e anche la vocazione di San Guido ad essere animatore missionario all'interno della Congregazione e della Chiesa. Dopo la conferenza, abbiamo celebrato l’Eucaristia e consumato il pranzo insieme. Nel pomeriggio abbiamo giocato a basket e calcio. Abbiamo concluso la giornata con la preghiera vespertina animata dalla comunità della Filosofia e la festa con la cena sul campo da basket. Tutti hanno apprezzato l'opportunità di vivere insieme questi momenti di fraternità saveriana. (Cesar da Silva sx)

The Founder’s s day in the Philippines was celebrated in three days of activities. On November 5 at the chapel of the Theology community, the temporary professed brothers celebrated the renewal of their vows in the hands of the Delegate Superior, in the presence of other Xaverians, and some lay people. After mass, we had our lunch together.

A missionary animation day called “Open House” took place on Sunday, November 6. On this day the community of Theology opened its doors to all who wanted to know more about the Xaverian charism and the Founder. It was organized in collaboration and with the concrete support of the Philosophy community and the Lay Xaverians. From 9 am to 4 pm, we received 16 groups, numbering almost 300 people, mostly from our parish. After a brief orientation, they went through a parcourse inside the house. During the tour, the guests experienced different and dynamic presentations on the Founder and the Xaverian congregation, the mission in the Philippines, and the Xaverians in the World. At the end, they received their missionary sending by means of a brief celebration in the chapel. It was a very appreciated activity by all. Some said that it was the first time they had the chance to know in a deeper way the Xaverian charism.

Monday, November 7, the four communities of the Xaverian Delegation gathered again for a “Xaverian Day”. In the morning, Fr. Cesar da Silva presented a reflection on the Founder, emphasizing the fundamental encounters with the Crucifix and the figure of Francis Xavier, and also the vocation of Saint Guido to be a missionary animator within the congregation and the church. After the conference, we had mass and lunch. In the afternoon, we played together basketball and soccer. We concluded the day with vespers animated by the Philosophy community and the celebration on the basketball pitch with dinner. Everybody appreciated the opportunity to live together these moments of Xaverian fraternity. (Cesar da Silva s.x)
