Riportiamo alcune attività organizzate dalle comunità della Regione in occasione dell’Ottobre Missionario Straordinario

• Chiese, Collegi e Case di Formazione, si sono impregnate di missionarietà: bandiere della geografia saveriana, fotografie e oggetti delle missioni. Alcune comunità hanno rinnovato le loro esposizioni missionarie. Nei centri di apostolato, in modo particolare con i bambini e gli adolescenti, si è celebrata la Giornata Missionaria Mondiale.
• Acoyotla ha organizzato una Kermesse missionaria e ha dato vita all’immagine pellegrina del Fondatore. A Santa Cruz è stato creato un gruppo di sposi missionari. I Collegi Saveriani hanno recitato la preghiera.
• ICO (Istituto Culturale d’Occidente) ha organizzato il rosario missionario unendolo alla memoria dei nostri Martiri; è stata realizzata una settimana di animazione missionaria; gli alunni hanno provveduto a decorare missionariamente le porte delle loro aule. Hanno creato la “Cassetta Missionaria delle Lettere”: gli studenti hanno scritto ai missionari; e hanno preparato un recital: “Giovani senza frontiere” per la chiusura del mese missionario.
• Nel Collegio Centro Unión di San Juan del Río, hanno intronizzato le immagini di S. Teresina, S. Francesco Saverio e S. Guido M. Conforti; hanno organizzato un concorso di racconti missionari; hanno preparato uno sketch su S. Guido Conforti. Tra gli studenti della Propedeutica si è svolta una settimana missionaria nella quale è stato presentato il carisma saveriano e la vita dei Saveriani in missione. Nella casa di formazione si è organizzato un Incontro Regionale dei Seminaristi Saveriani in Famiglia.
• Le comunità di Salamanca, Arandas, Acoyotla, Santa Cruz e Torreón hanno animato il rosario missionario a livello di decanato e città. È stato distribuito l’opuscolo del rosario missionario nella diocesi di Huejutla.
• Le comunità di Torreón e Città del Messico hanno animato la Giornata Missionaria Mondiale nella cattedrale di Torreón e nella Basilica di Guadalupe.

Nella comunità del Filosofato è stata preparata una veglia giovanile per celebrare la Giornata Missionaria Mondiale, ed è stata animata una settimana di Studi sulle Encicliche missionarie degli ultimi cento anni. Alcuni laici hanno scritto ai nostri confratelli che si trovano in missione.

We like to make known to you some of the activities of  the Mexico Region on the occasion of this Extraordinary October Mission Month:

.  Churches, Colleges and Formation Houses were filled with an intense mission atmosphere: banners of the Nations in which the Xaverians are at work, photos, mission objects.  Some Communities renewed completely their mission expositions.  In the Apostolic Centers, particularly with children and adolescents, was solemnly celebrated the World Mission Day.

-Acoyotla organized a Mission ‘Kermesse’ and initiated the project of the ‘pilgrim image’ of the Founder.  At Santa Cruz we gave rise to a group of missionary spouses.  The Xaverian  Colleges recited together the Mission Prayer.

-ICO (Western Cultural Institute) organized a mission rosary prayer remembering the Xaverian martyrs.  There was a whole week of mission education and formation. The students decorated the entrances of their classrooms with mission themes and objects. They have created the “Letters Mission Box”. The Students then wrote letters to the Missionaries and organized a special Recital, entitled: “The Young without Frontiers”, for the closing of the Mission Month.

-In the Centro Union College of San Juan del Rio, the students organized shows on St. Therese of the Child Jesus, Saint Francis Xavier and Saint Guido M. Conforti. The Students of ‘Propedeutica’ organized a whole week ,in which the Xaverian carism and the life of the Xaverian missionaries were portrayed.  In the House of Formation a Regional Encounter of the Xaverian Seminarians in the Family was organized.

-The Communities of Salamanca, Arandas, Acoyotla, Santa Cruz and Torreòn programmed the mission rosary for the parishes and the all the local towns. The booklet on the Mission Rosary was distributed in the whole Diocese of Hwejutla.

-The Communities of Torreòn and Mexico City organized and celebrated the World Mission Day in the Cathedral of Torreòn and in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Mexico City.

-The Philosophy Community organized the Eve of the World Mission Day for the youth.  There was a whole week of study and reflection on the Mission Encyclicals of the last one hundred years.  Various of the laity wrote to our missionaries in their mission areas.
