Sabato 25 marzo 2025, i Missionari Saveriani che si trovano a Roma hanno trascorso insieme una giornata di ritiro presso il Collegio “Conforti” in preparazione alla Festa del santo Fondatore. La riflessione è stata guidata dal nostro confratello Diac. Frédéric Mutonde, studente di Teologia Biblica. Frédéric ha sviluppato, in particolare, tre punti: 1) Conforti, missionario per il mondo intero; 2) Conforti, uomo di preghiera; 3) Conforti capace di cogliere e accogliere il dono di Dio.

È seguito un tempo di meditazione personale. A mezzogiorno, la celebrazione Eucaristica presieduta da p. José Ignacio Martínez González. A suo fianco il vescovo di Uvira, RDC, Sébastien-Joseph Muyengo Mulombe.

Dopo la proclamazione del Vangelo e un breve pensiero omiletico del Diac. Frédéric Mutonde, è stato lasciato un tempo per la condivisione. Si è concluso con un pranzo prolungato nel tempo. Alla giornata di ritiro hanno partecipato anche i due amici sacerdoti ospiti nel Collegio: Toyota Takanori e Pierre Sengamali.

On Saturday, March 25^th, 2025, the Xaverian missionaries who reside in Rome spent together a day of retreat at the “Msgr. Conforti” College to prepare for the upcoming feast of the Holy Founder. The meditation was led by our confrere, Deacon Frédéric Mutonde, student of Biblical Theology. Frédéric outlined three main points: 1) Conforti as missionary for the entire world; 2) Conforti as a man of prayer; 3) Conforti as a man capable of discovering and welcoming the gift of God.

Frédéric’s input was followed by time for personal meditation. At midday, the celebration of the Mass was presided over by Fr. José Ignacio Martínez González. At his side was the Bishop of Uvira, DRC, Sébastien-Joseph Muyengo Mulombe.

After the proclamation of the Gospel and a brief homily by the Deacon Frédéric Mutonde, time was given to sharing. The retreat ended with a prolonged lunch. Also two priests, Rev. Toyota Takanori and Rev. Pierre Sengamali, who are our friends and guests of the College, took part in the retreat.
