«La formazione deve creare nel soggetto la disponibilità a lasciarsi formare ogni giorno, per il resto della vita (docibilitas). La formazione iniziale, o di base, non è completa in sé stessa; essa richiede una continuazione durante tutta la vita del missionario (Cfr. VC 69; C 72). A tale esigenza risponde la formazione permanente» (RFX 342).
«La formazione iniziale e la formazione permanente costituiscono un unico e organico processo formativo di vita consacrata alla missione (Cfr. RMX 89). A conclusione della formazione iniziale comincia il cammino arduo e impegnativo della vita apostolica. Il lavoro apostolico e la vita comunitaria sono il luogo privilegiato, la sorgente e lo stimolo per la continua crescita (Cfr. RMX 89)» (RFX 343).
Da domani, domenica della Pentecoste, sarà presente nella pagina del sito Web della Direzione Generale una finestra dedicata specialmente alla Formazione Permanente dei confratelli. Essa nasce con il desiderio di aiutarci a vivere con più radicalità e attualizzazione il nostro carisma.
Sarà alimentata da noi stessi. Niente che vada oltre le nostre possibilità. Si tratta semplicemente di condividere, di mettere a disposizione dei confratelli ciò che mi ha fatto bene, ciò che mi ha aiutato. Può essere un articolo che considero importante e arricchente; presentare un libro, una rivista; indicare un link; un lavoro che ho fatto ...
La finestra è organizzata secondo le costanti saveriane: Finalità Missionaria, Spiritualità Cristocentrica, Consacrazione religiosa, Caratteristica familiare e Volto umano del Saveriano.
L’esito di questa iniziativa quindi è responsabilità di ciascuno di noi. Nessuno è così povero che non possa offrire niente, e nessuno è così ricco che non abbia bisogno dell’aiuto dell’altro. Per questo, contiamo sul contributo di tutti. Come membri dello stesso corpo, sentiamoci responsabili gli uni per gli altri per il rinnovamento continuo della nostra vocazione missionaria.

“Formation must lead each individual to willingly embrace a lifelong ongoing formation (docibilitas). Initial formation is not enough; it must be continued throughout the missionary’s entire life (cf. VC 69; C 72). Ongoing formation is the response to this necessity” (RFX 342).
“Initial and ongoing formation are a single organic process of formation of the consecrated life to the mission (cf. RMX 89). Upon conclusion of initial formation, the demanding and difficult journey of the apostolic life begins. Apostolic work and community life are the privileged place, the source and the stimulus for ongoing growth (cf. RMX 89)” (343).
Tomorrow, the Sunday of Pentecost, there will be on the Website of the General Direction an Internet window dedicated especially for the Ongoing Formation of our confreres. The Initiative derives from the desire of helping ourselves to live with radicality and actualisation of our charism.
This Internet window will be maintained by ourselves. Nothing goes beyond our possibilities. It is only a matter of sharing and putting at the disposal of our confreres what has helped and enriched me. It can be an article that I consider important and interesting, a book, a magazine, a link or a personal research…
The Internet window is organized according to the essential dimensions of xaverian spirituality: Missionary purpose, Christocentrism, Religious dimension, Family characteristic and the Xaverian’s humanity.
The result of this initiative is the responsibility of each one of us. No one is so poor to have nothing to give and non is so rich not to need other’s help. That is why we rely on the contribution of all. As members of the same body, let us be responsible one another for the ongoing renewal of our missionary vocation.
