Il 13 maggio 2026 abbiamo celebrato con gioia e semplicità la festa di Nostra Signora di Fatima nel nostro Santuario Saveriano a Holliston. L’Eucaristia è stata presieduta alle 18:00 dal rettore del Santuario, p. Carl Chudy sx. I partecipanti provenivano da diverse nazionalità. È stata una celebrazione multiculturale. Dopo la Messa, sono seguite la processione e la recita del Santo Rosario nel nostro Sentiero del Rosario. L’immagine di Fatima è stata collocata su un catafalco e portata da alcuni volontari, uomini e donne.

La celebrazione si è conclusa sulla nostra Collina di Fatima, dove è stato chiesto ai presenti di recitare l’Ave Maria nelle loro lingue locali. In questa occasione sono state recitate Ave Maria in libanese, tamil (India), spagnolo (latino-americano), francese (Haiti), portoghese (brasiliano), italiano, bahasa (indonesiano) e tagalog (filippino).

Durante la giornata, molti devoti, parrocchiani e pellegrini provenienti da varie città e paesi sono rientrati in Santuario per offrire fiori freschi, accendere candele, scrivere le loro intenzioni sul libro delle preghiere e pregare davanti alla Madonna.

Ogni 13 maggio dell'anno celebriamo questa festa insieme al giorno di inizio delle attività annuali del Santuario “Giorni di Fatima”, che prevede sei mesi di celebrazioni da maggio a ottobre, ogni 13 del mese. 

Ogni mese viene invitato un sacerdote diverso per la celebrazione. Quest'anno il tema è “La fede che smuove le montagne”. (Vivinio Jr. Matugas Buhawe, Joeven sx)

On May 13^th, 2026, we joyfully and unassumingly celebrated the Feast Day of the Our Lady of Fatima in our Xaverian Missionary Shrine in Holliston. The Eucharist was presided at 6:00 in the evening by the rector of the Shrine, Fr. Carl Chudy sx. The participants were from various nationalities. It is a multi-cultural celebration. After the Mass, followed the procession and the prayer of the Holy Rosary in our Rosary Walk.  The image of Fatima was put on the bier and carried by some volunteers’ men and women.

The celebration concluded in our Fatima Hill wherein the people were asked to recite the Hail Mary in their own local languages. On this occasion there were Hail Mary’s in Lebanese, Tamil (India), Spanish (Latino), French (Haiti), Portuguese (Brazilians) Italian, Bahasa (Indonesians), Tagalog (Filipinos).

During the day, many devotees, parishioners and pilgrims from various cities and towns came inside the Church to offer fresh flowers, lit candles, write intentions on the book and pray in front of the Our Lady.

On every 13^th of May of the year we celebrate this feast along with a launch day of the yearly activities of the Shrine “Fatima Days” which takes six months long celebration from May until October every 13^th day of the month. 

Each month a different priest is invited for the celebration. This year the theme is “Faith that moves Mountains”. (Vivinio Jr. Matugas Buhawe, Joeven sx)
