La Giornata dei Martiri Saveriani quest'anno si celebra il 10 ottobre e commemora i nostri confratelli e consorelle che hanno dato la loro vita in fedeltà al Vangelo di Gesù e al carisma saveriano.

In tale occasione, il sabato seguente, 11 ottobre 2025, a Parma, viene dedicata una strada pubblica a Olga Raschietti, Lucia Pulici e Bernardetta Boggian, tragicamente uccise a Kamenge (Burundi) il 7-8 settembre 2014. La strada, ubicata nel quartiere di S. Pancrazio (PR), è intitolata: "Via Martiri Saveriane in Burundi".

Alla cerimonia partecipano il sindaco Michele Guerra, il vescovo Mons. Enrico Solmi, i parenti delle nostre tre sorelle, rappresentanti dei nostri laici e diversi amici e conoscenti.

La memoria di Olga, Lucia e Bernardetta rimane così registrata nella città che le ha accolte e accompagnate negli anni della loro formazione missionaria, nei periodi di rientro dalla missione per riposo e cure. Tale dedicazione esprime anche il legame profondo tra la città di Parma e i nostri due Istituti missionari. (Elena Conforto, mmx)

This year, Xaverian Martyrs Day will be celebrated on October 10^th. The day commemorates our Xaverian brothers and sisters who gave their lives to be faithful to the Gospel of Jesus and the Xaverian charism.

As part of the same commemoration, on the following Saturday, October 11^th, 2025, a public street in Parma will be dedicated to Olga Raschietti, Lucia Pulici and Bernardetta Boggian, who were murdered in Kamenge (Burundi) on September 7^th and 8^th, 2014. The name of the street, which is located in St. Pancrazio District (Parma), reads “Via Martiri Saveriane in Burundi” (“Xaverian Sisters Martyrs in Burundi” Road).

The ceremony will be attended by the City Mayor, Michele Guerra, the Bishop, Msgr. Enrico Solmi, relatives of our three sisters, representatives of our laity and various friends and acquaintances.

Thus, the memory of Olga, Lucia and Bernardetta is preserved by the city that welcomed and accompanied them in the years of their missionary training, and in the periods of rest and medical care after returning from mission. The dedication of a street expresses also the deep bond between the City of Parma and our two missionary institutes. (Elena Conforto, m.m.x.)
