In una occasione, conversando al telefono, un sacerdote amico della diocesi di Parma mi diceva:  "So che la vostra Casa Madre accoglie giornate di ritiro ed è anche un bel centro di spiritualità". "E di spiritualità Saveriana" ho aggiunto io. Un esempio: nei due fine-settimana di maggio 2026, i gruppi della prima comunione di San Secondo (PR) e di San Pancrazio (PR); il gruppo di cresimandi della parrocchia di  Pannocchia (PR) e il gruppo di giovanissimi di Langhirano (PR) hanno scelto la Casa Madre dei Saveriani come spazio di ritiro. Oltre ad offrire saloni e spazi (tra l'altro la logistica di Casa Madre è così spaziosa che in un sabato di maggio ho visto presenti comodamente tre diversi gruppi) ci piace, accogliendo i gruppi, condividere l’esperienza di missione e consacrazione ad gentes e ad extra. On one occasion, while we were chatting on the phone, a priest friend of mine from the Diocese of Parma told me: “I know that your Mother House welcomes people for days of retreat and is also a beautiful centre of spirituality.” “And Xaverian spirituality”, I added. Here is an example: in the last two weekends of May 2026, the first-communion groups from the San Secondo Parish and San Pancrazio Parish (Parma), the group of confirmation candidates from the parish in Pannocchia (Parma) and the group of giovanissimi (youngest teenagers) from Langhirano (Parma) chose the Mother House of the Xaverians as the venue for their retreat. In addition to providing meeting rooms and spaces (in fact, the Mother House is so spacious that on a Saturday in May I saw three different groups comfortably gathered there), we enjoy welcoming groups and sharing with them the experience of mission and consecration ad gentes and ad extra.
