“Pellegrini di speranza, sulla via della pace”: è il tema del Convegno promosso dal Dicastero per gli Istituti di Vita Consacrata e le Società di Vita Apostolica, a Roma dal 1° al 4 febbraio 2024 in vista del Giubileo 2025. Vi partecipano oltre 300 rappresentanti delle diverse forme di vita consacrata provenienti da più di 60 paesi: un religioso, una religiosa, un membro di un istituto secolare e una donna appartenente all’Ordo virginum per ogni nazione.

Si tratta di una nuova tappa nel cammino verso il Giubileo del 2025, per condividere esperienze di vita e di missione, con il desiderio di tornare nei propri Paesi con il mandato di continuare ad essere segno di riconciliazione tra i popoli. Infatti, “Pellegrini di speranza, sulla via della pace” è anche il tema scelto per il Giubileo della vita consacrata, che si terrà a Roma nei giorni 8 e 9 ottobre 2025.

Il programma dell’incontro si svilupperà attraverso quattro grandi tematiche: il 1° febbraio 2024, “Credere nella speranza”; il 2 febbraio 2024, “Crescere nella carità”; il 3 febbraio 2024, “Con la forza della fede”; il 4 febbraio 2024, “Testimoniare la speranza”. Per arricchire il dialogo, saranno presenti anche alcuni rappresentanti dei Dicasteri della Curia romana: tra questi, il nostro confratello Paulin Batairwa Kubuya, Sottosegretario del Dicastero per il dialogo interreligioso, e il Segretario del Dicastero per il servizio dello sviluppo umano integrale. "Pilgrims of hope, on the path to peace" is the theme of the Conference promoted by the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, in Rome from 1 to 4 February 2024 in preparation for the Jubilee 2025. More than 300 representatives of the different forms of consecrated life from more than 60 countries are taking part: one religious, one member of a Secular Institute and one woman belonging to the Ordo Virginum from each nation.

This is a new step in the journey towards the Jubilee of 2025, to share experiences of life and mission, with the desire to return to their own countries with the mandate to continue to be a sign of reconciliation between peoples. In fact, "Pilgrims of hope, on the path to peace" is also the topic chosen for the Jubilee of Consecrated Life, to be held in Rome on 8 and 9 October 2025.

The program of the meeting will develop through four main themes: 1 February 2024, "Believing in hope"; 2 February 2024, "Growing in charity"; 3 February 2024, "With the strength of faith"; 4 February 2024, "Witnessing hope". To enrich the dialogue, some representatives of the Dicasteries of the Roman Curia will also be present: among them, our confrere Fr. Paulin Batairwa Kubuya, Undersecretary of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, and the Secretary of the Dicastery for the Service of Integral Human Development. (Renovat Bikorimana sx)
