Dal 27 al 30 dicembre 2023 si è tenuta presso la casa Saveriana di Salerno, Italia, la convivenza invernale dei giovanissimi. Il tema principale degli incontri è stato la “Voce del Verbo”, titolo inspirato dal prologo del Vangelo di Giovanni. È stata una bella occasione per il gruppo dei giovani (animatori) e giovanissimi di riflettere su alcuni temi legati alla realtà giovanile alla luce del Mistero dell’Incarnazione. Abbiamo pregato e riflettuto sul verbo “nascere”. Cristo che si fa carne in noi e in mezzo a noi; sul verbo “abitare”. Cristo vive - abita in mezzo a noi. Nelle nostre riflessioni e condivisioni ci siamo chiesti: come noi abitiamo luoghi, spazi e situazioni nella nostra quotidianità? L’ultimo verbo è stato “appartenere”. Abbiamo riflettuto sull’importanza di coltivare il senso dell'appartenenza nella nostra vita. Ci siamo, infatti, domandati: “dove mi sento a casa?”; “come e dove esprimo il mio senso di appartenenza?” (Nicholindo Putra Geli Gowin Yohanes sx)
SALERNO, ITALY – XAVERIAN COMMUNITY: “VOICE OF THE VERB: TO BE BORN, TO LIVE IN, TO BELONG TO…”
From December 27th to 30th, 2023, a teenagers’ winter camp was held in the Xaverian house in Salerno, Italy.
Main theme of the meetings was “Voce del Verbo” [“verbo” meaning both ‘verb’ and ‘word’ – tr.note], a title inspired by the prologue of the Gospel of John. For the teenagers and their young educators, the camp has been a beautiful chance for reflecting on some issues of the young people’s life in the light of the Mystery of Incarnation. We prayed and meditated on the verb “to be born”: Christ becomes flesh in us and through us; on the verb “to live in”: Christ lives in our midst. In our reflections and moments of sharing we asked ourselves: how do we live in the places, spaces, and situations of our daily life? The last verb was “to belong to”, which emphasizes the sense of belonging in our lives.
