I confratelli della delegazione del Mozambico si sono riuniti nei giorni 19 - 22 di aprile 2023 nella casa di Sena per la prima delle due assemblee annuali. All'assemblea, preceduta dal consiglio che si è riunito il giorno precedente, erano presenti tutti i 12 confratelli della delegazione provenienti dalle quattro comunità saveriane: Sena, Charre, Dondo e Inhamizwa. Queste ultime due si trovano nell'area urbana, a 450 km da Sena.

I temi trattati nell'assemblea sono stati i seguenti: la condivisione della pastorale nei primi mesi dell'anno pastorale (che qui comincia a febbraio), la condivisione dei progetti comunitari di vita, la situazione del personale, la revisione comunitaria della relazione in vista del Capitolo, la situazione dell'animazione missionaria e vocazionale, lo stato dell'economia. Si è poi parlato di come stiamo vivendo l'anno giubilare dei 25 anni di presenza saveriana in Mozambico, che abbiamo inaugurato il 3 dicembre dello scorso anno e che concluderemo il 5 novembre. Tra i diversi argomenti, abbiamo discusso insieme circa le conseguenze sulla nostra gente e sulla nostra pastorale del ciclone Freddy, che il mese scorso ha colpito il territorio delle parrocchie di Charre e Sena. L'appello lanciato subito dopo il ciclone ha trovato la risposta generosa di tanti benefattori. Attraverso il loro contributo di umanità stiamo aiutando centinaia di famiglie con sementi e beni alimentari. (Andrea Facchetti sx)

The confreres belonging to the Mozambican Delegation gathered in the house of Sena on April 19^th-22^nd, 2023, for the first of their yearly assemblies.

The assembly, which was preceded by a meeting of the delegation council on the previous day, was attended by all 12 confreres coming from the four Xaverian communities of Sena, Charre, Dondo and Inhamizwa. The last two are located in the urban area, 450 km away from Sena.

The assembly dealt with the following agenda: sharing on pastoral ministry in the early months of the pastoral year (that here begins in February); sharing on community projects of life; personnel’s situation; community review of the report to the Chapter; situation of the promotion of missionary awareness and vocation; state of the economy. Moreover, the assembly discussed on how we are living the silver jubilee of Xaverian presence in Mozambique, whose celebration we inaugurated last year on December 3^rd and which will end on November 5^th. Among other things, we discussed about the consequences on our people and on our ministry of cyclone Freddy that last month hit the area where the parishes of Charre and Sena are located. The appeal launched immediately after the cyclone was met with a generous response from many benefactors. Thanks to their humanitarian contribution we are able to assist hundreds of families with seeds and food. (Andrea Facchetti sx)
