Riportiamo qui la conclusione del messaggio finale dei partecipanti alla XIV Settimana Culturale tenutasi a Tavernerio dal 2 al 7 gennaio 2023. Organizzata dalla Commissione della Formazione Permanente della regione italiana, questa iniziativa è orientata ad approfondire la trasformazione della missione, quale elemento strutturante della Chiesa.

“…Insomma, senza cedere al facile irenismo, agli ostacoli che ci si parano davanti, alle paure, al sincretismo, al relativismo, al monologo dominante, al ritiro silenzioso davanti alla complessità del mondo, anche oggi ci è chiesto di riprendere coraggio, di lasciare “tutto” e seguire Gesù, affrontando il mare aperto con lui, gettare le reti con fiducia in lui, agendo sulla sua Parola! “Tribolati da ogni parte, ma non schiacciati; sconvolti, ma non disperati; perseguitati, ma non abbandonati; colpiti, ma non uccisi, portando sempre e dovunque nel nostro corpo la morte di Gesù”(2Cor 4,8-9), che vuole fare del mondo una sola famiglia di figli a gloria del Padre nello Spirito che è pienezza di vita, amore e gioia per tutti”. (dai partecipanti alla XIV Settimana Culturale) 

Following we report the concluding remarks of the final message sent by the participants in the XIV Cultural Week held in Tavernerio from January 2^nd to 7^th, 2023. Organised by the Commission for On-Going Formation of the Italian Region, this initiative aimed at deepening understanding of the transformation of mission as structural element of the Church. 

“...In short, without giving in to easy Irenicism, to the obstacles that await us, to fears, to syncretism, to relativism, to the dominant monologue, to silent retreat in the face of the complexity of the world, we are asked, even today, to take courage, to "leave everything" and to follow Jesus, facing the high seas with him, casting our nets with confidence in him, acting on his Word! "Troubled on every side, but not crushed; shaken, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not killed, bearing always and everywhere in our bodies the death of Jesus" (2 Cor 4:8-9), who wants to make the world one family of children to the glory of the Father in the Spirit who is fullness of life, love and joy for all).
